DLS Vadodara branch organizes spiritual conference to mark platinum jubilee
Divine Life Society Vadodara branch organized 3 days spiritual conference from 30th October to 1st November 2025 to commemorate the completion of 75th year of All India Yatra of Gurudev Swami Sivananda ji Maharaj and foundation of Vadodara branch by His sacred Hands during the yatra on 1st November 1950. The conference themed on Divine Life for Self-Awakening, Spiritual Regeneration and World Peace was blessed by presence of senior monks from DLS Headquarters and other spiritual organizations.
The conference was inaugurated by lighting the lamp by invited saints and followed by reading the insightful message of President Swami Yogaswaroopanandaji and General Secretary Swami Advaitanandaji by Krishnakant Dave, coordinator of the conference. Swami Tyagvairagyanandaji, convener delivered welcome address and Dr. Jayant Dave, convener gave a brief account of 75 years of admirable branch activities including that of Platinum jubilee year culminating into spiritual Conference. In His inaugural address Swami Nirliptanandaji, Senior Vice President, DLS Hqs & Patron of the conference dwelt upon unique features of Gurudevs Life and teachings focusing on selfless service, intense austerities, integral yoga and universal brotherhood. The souvenir titled Sivananda Amritam, Svadhyaya Sudha prayer-stotra-bhajan book and Atma-Chintan book in Gujarati authored by Jayant Dave with pen name Atmaram were released by saints present.
Swami Paramatmananda ji, convener & General Secretary, Hindu Dharma Acharya Sabha gave an inspiring discourse on Sadhana and Sadhya. Swami Haribrhamendrananda Teertha, Acharya, Adi Shankar Brhama Vidya Peeth, Uttarkashi delivered three revealing talks on Hindu Dharma Sarvasva. Swamini Sadvidyananda Mataji, founder, Aarsha Vidya Teerth, Bardoli delivered inspiring talk on Importance of Bhakti in Vedanta. Sadhu Gnanavatsaldasji from BAPS Swaminarayan Sanstha gave an energizing talk describing Divine Life as a blend of self-restraint, social order and spiritual evolution, so very essential in 21st century.
Swami Tyagavaiaragyanandaji , Swami Dharamnishthanandaji from DLS Hqs and Swami Pranavanandaji , Acharya Shree Akhanda Pranav Vedanta Ashram, Indore delivered different aspects of Integral yoga and divine life in symposium 1. Swami Pranavanandaji also gave informative talk on interconnectedness of Guru, Ishwar and Atman. Swami Tejomayanandaji, Guruji, Central Chinmaya Mission Trust highlighted essential unity of Jnana and Bhakti analogous to fruit and its juice taking cue from composition of Tulsidas.
Swamini Shivapriyananda Mataji, DLS Bhavnagar and Swami Brahmabhutanandaji, Founder, Vedanta Vijnana Madala, Mumbai delivered talks on Integral message of Swami Sivananda to mankind in Symposium 2. Swami Nirliptanandaji gave quintessence of Gurudev Swami Sivanandajis teachings based on service to humanity and personal spiritual sadhana. Shri Rameshbhai Ojha (Pujya Bhaishree), Sandipani Vidyaniketan, Porbandar described Srimad Bhagavata as essence of Sanatana dharma scriptures and bhakti as essence of Srimad Bhagavata.
Swami Dharmanishthanandaji conducted prayers, mediation and pranayama class in morning session on all three days and led paduka puja on concluding day. Swamini Swaprakashananda Mataji and Swamini Brahmapriyananda Mataji from Adhyatma Vidya Mandir, Vadodara guided the recitation of stotras. Manbhatt Sri Mayank Pandya, Shri Praveen Langhanoja, Smt Aarti Barot and Smt Meena Patel presented devotional songs. Dr. Jayant Dave, Shri Aniruddha Buch and Ms. Neha Bhatt served as master of ceremony. Shri Mahesh Trivedi, Joint convener delivered vote of thanks acknowledging hearty contribution from all members of organizing commmittee. Shri Upendra Trivedi from Jamnagar expressed intense joy and gratitude for the fine organization of the event on behalf of all delegates. In the concluding message, Swami Nirliptanandaji expressed immense happiness for the distinctive branch activities continuously for the last 75 years and showered all the praise for befitting organization of spiritual conference to venerate the platinum jubilee.
About 500 registered delegates from the all the branches of Gujarat and some centers of India and other attendees partook of the wisdom sharing of saints and felt blessed and benefited. Hariom.
