Fatty liver diet
Fatty liver - Foods to eat
These foods can be included in a fatty liver diet:
👉Leafy greens: We all grew up in a household hearing our parents' magus for eating our greens. Well as far as the health benefits are concerned, they weren't wrong. Studies have shown that leafy greens can prevent fat accumulation in people suffering from fatty liver. Some varieties of leafy greens may include spinach, kale, broccoli, etc.
👉Nuts and seeds: Eliminating fats from the diet will do more harm than good as fats are also required for the body. This can help people suffering from the fatty liver in regulating healthy insulin levels. Some varieties of nuts and seeds may include almonds, walnuts, pistachios, sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds, etc.
👉Whole grains: Foods rich in fibre are recommended for fatty liver as they can help manage triglycerides levels. Some varieties of whole grains may include oats, bulgur rice, etc.
🚨🚨Fatty liver - Foods to avoid
👉Here are some foods that you must avoid in case of a fatty liver:
👉Red meat: If you suffer from fatty liver, avoid eating red meat as it can add to the fat accumulation. Some varieties of red meat may include pork, beef, goat, veal, lamb, etc.
👉Alcohol: Alcohol is one of the leading causes of fatty liver. In order to keep hepatic steatosis at bay, make sure that you avoid alcohol consumption - be it moderate or excessive.
👉White processed food: Consuming refined and processed foods can never be a healthy idea for the body. When suffering from fatty liver, these foods can further damage the organ and therefore must be avoided. Some varieties of white processed foods may include white bread, crackers, pasta, etc.
