The celebration of the 11th International Day of Yoga is highlighted in this issue with images of various events shining on all pages. This year the Rishiculture Gitananda Yoga family worldwide participated in many events supported by the Ministry of Ayush, Government of India and the Indian Yoga Association.

Yoga Sangama was organized at Sri Kambaliswamy Madam by ISCM of SBV with support of CCRYN, Ministry of Ayush. We were all blessed by the Divine presence of Param Pujya Ammaji Meenakshi Devi Bhavanani, Yoga Ratna Madmohanji and Prof NR Biswas, the Hon’ble VC of Sri Balaji Vidyapeeth. More than 600 enthusiasts participated. Chinna Ammaji Dhivya Priya Bhavanani’s birthday was also commemorated on the occasion with a special Puja.

The back cover showcases the National Conference at SBV where Prof Dr. Elangovan, Secretary TN Chapter of the Indian Yoga Association was honured with a Lifetime Achievement Award for his remarkable contributions to education and cultural service. The event focuses on the theme, “Yoga for One Earth, One Health”.

Inner covers share special moments from Dr Anandaji’s multitude of events at New Delhi with Yoga Connect and at Chennai with Samyoga at the Central Council for Siddha and at Sri Ramachandra Medical University. Shaktimaa Devasenaji and Chinna Ammaji Dhivya were invited to Pudukottai as Chief Guests for the IDY celebrations at Mother Theresa Yoga & Naturopathy College. Shaktimaa also received Karma Yogini Award from TN Yoga Sports Association at Chennai. We also witness images from the grand Symposium on Health and Healing through Ayush Systems held at Sri Aurobindo Society.

Yoga is not just about the externalized performances and celebrations and we must always remember to dig deep within ourselves to truly experience the “Power of Yoga.”

This month’s Yoga Life is filled with loving tributes to our beloved Yogacharya Muralidharan Giri who shed his mortal coil on the 30 January 2025, the day after the sacred day of Mouni Amavasya. This was devastating news for all of us around the world who loved this marvelous Yogic humane being.

Murali has left an indelible mark in so many hearts and the pages of this month's issue are filled with an outpouring of love from so many of his near and dear ones in the Worldwide Gitananda Yoga Family. Everyone has nothing but kind words to say about this marvelous Sadhaka and Acharya who was a true lover of Yantra.

We share so many memorable images over the past three decades of trips in Australia, New Zealand, South Africa and at the Ashram in India where Murali and the Gitananda Yoga family gathered with so much joy and love.

Murali had an Australian Anglican funeral service on the 11th February and was cremated as per his wish. We were deeply touched by the heart-warming tributes offered to him by his loving brothers and a beautiful video of images over the decades that brought to life another side (Trevor John Fox) of our beloved Murali for all of us. That day was also Vasant Panchami in India which is a festival that celebrates the arrival of spring and honors the goddess of learning Maa Devi Saraswati.

Murali’s elder brother Bruce has been in touch with Dr Anandaji and a part of Murali’s ashes will come to India in the near future and we will have a special Samadhi Puja for him here and inter his ashes within a memorial at the ICYER Ananda Ashram.

We all love you Murali and will keep you deep in our hearts forever. May you be blessed wherever you are!
