Swar Foundation
Swar Foundation came across a new kind of situation for the first time, where one of our member brought to our notice about a family with four school going kids living with their father and mother, running their small laundry shop with a minimal income of Rs 5000/- per month, residing in the vicinity of Khodiyar Nagar, Vapi.
This was the general information about the family, but the shocking part for our team was that both the parents were suffering from HIV+ since April 2012 and their family situation was not strong enough to support the three sons and a daughter studying in class 12th , 6th ,4th and 8th respectively.
The parent’s reports were checked and classified by our team members and it was found that they visit the Government Hospital on a regular basis and the reports were testified by Dr.Anant Agarwal and the reports of the children was also testified and was found to be normal.
The children are studying in KP Vidhyamandir School, Gulab Nagar, Vapi. The school reports of the children was checked and they were found to be average in study.
So the question in front of our team was, how to help this family and what would be the best mean to help so that the family can reap the fruits for entire life. And the best we could think was only education as it will change their future and also give a better and a successful life ahead.
We planned to bear the education cost of all the children under Swar Foundation to provide them with better future and take off some load from the parents.
The entire education cost of all the children was near to Rs1,28,000/- per year with extra expense of uniform and books.
From all above, what we concluded and acted was to take the entire case and help the children towards a better future by providing them the quality education. Swar foundation after having a detailed report from the members decided to take the case and it was decided to bear the education cost of all the children for next three years until the eldest child completes his college education and also help the child to search for a job according to his qualification.
We fixed a meeting with the principal of the school and some fee concession was given by the school trustees also and fee for one year which was Rs 58000/- was paid by Swar Foundation.
We also fixed a meeting with the trustees of Maa Foundation, Vapi and the came with open hand and assured us to help the youngest child studying in class 4th for his entire education till class 10th.
Doing this we feel some part of the journey is over but the major task waits ahead, and we are confident to face the situation and help this children to a better future no matter what the situation be.
We thank all the members and to all the people who are directly or indirectly attached to our activity and pray to god for giving us the strength to help to all those whom we can, after all we are here to serve the one who are in need..
Feel the joy of sharing….
