The National Commission for Homoeopathy (NCH), through its Medical Assessment and Rating Board for Homoeopathy (MARBH), has taken a strong step to ensure quality in homoeopathic medical education.
In a recent circular dated 10 February 2026 (File No. 35-1/MARBH/NCH/2026-27 / 12333–12628), NCH has directed all homoeopathic medical colleges/institutions to strictly comply with the Minimum Essential Standards of Education (as per the 2024 Regulations). Non-compliance will now attract significant monetary penalties, including:
• Rs. 5 Lakh for submitting forged documents.
• Rs. 5 Lakh per teacher for providing false teaching experience.
• Rs. 10 Lakh per faculty (plus Rs. 5 Lakh for each such teacher) for having ghost teachers on the faculty list.
• Rs. 5 Lakh for failure to rectify deficiencies within the given time.
• Rs. 10 Lakh per student for Non-NEET / Non-AIAPGET admissions.
This move addresses long-standing issues like forged documents, fake faculty, and irregular admissions, which have impacted the quality of homoeopathic education and training.
HMA welcomes this initiative by NCH/MARBH.It is a positive and much-needed step toward regularizing and elevating the standards of homoeopathic colleges across India. Strict enforcement will help ensure genuine teaching, better infrastructure, and ethical practices—ultimately benefiting students, practitioners, and patients by strengthening the credibility and quality of homoeopathic medical education in the country.
We urge all homoeopathic institutions to take immediate steps for full compliance to avoid penalties and contribute to a stronger homoeopathic ecosystem.
