VRSI 2025: Goa, We Came, We Saw, We Vitrectomized! 🏖️
Well, the academic fog has lifted, the Goan sun has set (and risen again, repeatedly!), and our brains are officially saturated with retinal wisdom! Huge thanks to Dr. Mahesh Shanmugam, Dr. Shrinivas Joshi, and Dr. Divyansh Mishra (as well as entire organizing team) for orchestrating this fantastic blend of knowledge and, let's be honest, slightly too much butter garlic prawn. 😉
The horn has officially blown for the first session of VRSI 2025, and what an intellectual sonic boom it was! From October 31st to November 2nd, we met some truly extraordinary people in the vitreoretina world—people who can debate the merits of a 27G cutter while simultaneously ordering a perfect Goan fish curry. That's true multitasking!
It's official: Life is good as a retina surgeon! We get to mend the eye's masterpiece by day, and debate surgical hacks over sunsets by night. Who needs a vacation when your annual academic meet is a retina party in Goa?
See you all next year, unless I decide to stay here and open a practice specializing in 'Retinal Relaxation Therapy' on the beach. (Kidding... mostly.)
