1.यह जोखिम भरा है
आधुनिक शल्य चिकित्सा तकनीकों और प्रगति ने रीढ़ की सर्जरी के जोखिम को कम कर दिया है।

2.यह एक बड़ी सर्जरी है.
सभी रीढ़ की सर्जरी बड़ी सर्जरी नहीं होती। सर्जरी तेज होती है, उसमें निशान कम पड़ते हैं, तथा ठीक होने में कम समय लगता है।

3.इससे पक्षाघात(लकवा) हो जाता है.
गर्दन की सर्जरी से लकवा नहीं होता।
