Asha Deep Institute of Mental Health was established in 1997 at Varanasi by Professor Dr. Anand Kumar as Director of this Institute to provide the psychological counseling , psychological testing, psychotherapy and cognitive behaviour intervention services for treatment and management of Generalised Anxiety Disorders, Phobic disorders, Bipolar disorders, Depression, traumatic and various Stress related disorders, adolescent problems, students related different problems, pre marital and post marital problems, aging problems.

In this Institute, clients are provided diagnostic testing, psychological counseling and guidance ,relaxation training, psychotherapy, behavior therapy, cognitive behaviour therapy and biofeedback mediated relaxation technique.

Various psychological testing is conducted in Asha Deep, like Aptitude test, Rorschach Ink Blot Test and TAT for personality assessment, Intelligence test for I.Q. measurement and Ravens Progressive Matrices for intellectual and cognitive ability test ; Self esteem, Health related Quality of Life, Alienation, Depression and Accumulated Stress tests are also conducted in this institute.
