यह गीत पूर्वांचली लोक-भाषा भोजपुरी में रचा गया एक बड़वारगी (विवाहोपरांत ससुराल-स्तुति) गीत है, जिसके रचयिता साहित्य अकादमी सम्मान से सम्मानित काशी के प्रातः स्मरणीय पंडित हरिराम द्विवेदी जी हैं। इसमें नववधू अपने ससुराल-परिवार के प्रत्येक सदस्य का अत्यंत स्नेहपूर्ण, प्रतीकात्मक और काव्यात्मक वर्णन करती है। यह गीत उस स्थिति का चित्रण करता है जब विवाह के बाद नववधू अपने ससुराल में रम जाती है और वहाँ के हर रिश्ते को प्रेम, सम्मान और अपनत्व के भाव से देखती है। वह अपने नैहर (मायके) की तुलना में ससुराल को अधिक व्यापक, समृद्ध और भावनात्मक रूप से महत्वपूर्ण मानने लगती है।

यह बड़वारगी गीत भारतीय ग्रामीण जीवन में संयुक्त परिवार की मधुरता, रिश्तों की गरिमा और नववधू के मनोभावों का अत्यंत सजीव चित्रण करता है। इसमें अतिशयोक्ति अलंकार और उपमा अलंकार के माध्यम से ससुराल की महिमा का भावपूर्ण वर्णन किया गया है।
