This young lady says her life changed for better after visiting us and our heart goes awww.....❤️ She visited us with a lot of questions and apprehensions about her TMJ. She was suffering from severe dizziness, jaw locking, jaw popping and jaw pain for 5 years. She visited multiple ENTs and other doctors but received no satisfactory relief. She was very confused about what is happening with her jaws and was convinced that she has to live with it. When she visited us we studied her case thoroughly through clinical examination and investigationzs. We arrived at a diagnosis i.e.Disc displacement with reduction with intermittent locking. We then formulated a customised treatment plan for her, suiting her condylar position and condition. Every TMJ patient visiting us has their own unique story. This middle age patient was suffering from what he described as facial numbness and tingling on the left side of face since many months. He was confused about his symptoms, thinking of it as a paralysis attack. He visited multiple physicians seeking help. But he received no diagnosis and relief. Then, being scared and disappointed about his condition and losing all hopes of obtaining relief, one day he was casually scrolling his YouTube app on phone. He came across a video explaining about TMJ symptoms. He could relate to the video and his life changed for the better.He decided to seek help from the dentist this time Dr. Chandani, the senior dentist. After studying all her symptoms, Dr. Chandani maam diagnosed her case as of TMJ and referred the patient to us. We feel grateful to the almighty that we are able to help the patient heal and live a better life.

Here is the complete case.

Patient c/o of numbness and tingling on the left side of the face, frequent headaches, joint noises on opening and closing of jaw and neck pain.

On Examination- We found that he has
clicking noise in the left TMJ on opening of the jaw
Reciprocal clicking on closing the jaw
Severe tenderness with bilateral lateral pterygoid muscle, Temporalis muscle, masseters
Tenderness wrt to cervical muscles

After investigations we diagnosed this case as of -
Disc displacement with reduction
Chronic myo facial dysfunction

Treatment -
We rehabilitated the jaw joints to achieve the best condylar positioning and gave him myofacial release.

Every patient visiting us with TMJ pain has their own story. We feel grateful to the almighty that we are able to help the patient heal and live a better life. This middle aged patient, teacher by profession, visited us saying she has been suffering from facial pain and headaches for months. She is saying she has not been able to chew properly for 4 months. She told us that she has visited multiple ENTs in search of relief for the ear pain. Got multiple investigations done prescribed by physicians but got no right diagnosis or treatment. Later, one ENT doctor suggested that it could be TMJ pain. She searched on Google for the TMJ doctor and visited us. She was saying her TMJ pain is so debilitating that it is affecting her teaching. We did a thorough examination, took proper history, studied her posture and did some investigations. We diagnosed her case as TMJ disorder and started the treatment. Now, you should hear, what she has to say😊! We are so happy for her that, she is able to continue with her teaching, all happy and at relief!

Here is the complete case.

Patient c/o of severe headaches, jaw pain, ear pain, difficulty in eating, swelling on the face, since last 4 months.

On Examination- We found that she has severe tenderness with Bilateral lateral pterygoid muscle, Temporalis muscle, masseters
Tenderness wrt to cervical muscles.
There was no clicking or crepitus.
Restricted mouth opening.

After investigations we diagnosed this case as of -
Chronic myofacial dysfunction

Rehabilitation of the condyle
Gaining the right tongue posture
