geries since 1998 and has a vast experience in advanced laparoscopic surgeries in GI, ventral hernias, inguinal hernias, abdominal wall repair, gall bladder and biliary diseases, hiatus hernia, stomach, small bowel, colon and rectal surgeries. Dr Sharad Sharma completed his MS in General Surgery 1994 from MGIMS, Sevagram started his career in MGM Medical College, Navi Mumbai. He became an associate professor, graduate and post graduate teacher in the same institution. In 2003 he obtained his Diploma in Advanced Laparoscopic surgery at Gem Hospital, Coimbatore (endorsed by the Society for American Gastrointestinal Endosurgeons, SAGES) under Dr C Palanivelu. In 2006 he obtained training in ‘D2 gastrectomy’ at NUH, Singapore. In 2007 he was awarded FIAGES by IAGES and in 2008 was awarded FMAS by AMASI. In 2009 Dr Sharma trained in Bariatric & Metabolic Surgery under Dr Philip Schauer at The Cleveland Clinic, Ohio, USA. He is a senior bariatric Surgeon at Fortis Hiranandani Hospital, Vashi, Reliance Hospital, Navi Mumbai and Apollo Hospital, Navi Mumbai. He keeps himself abreast with the newer techniques & technologies and actively contributes in various national & international conferences.
