A Life Saved, A Limb Protected ❤️

A patient presented with Inferior Wall MI. Coronary angiography revealed PDA occlusion, and a PDA DEB angioplasty was successfully performed.

Soon after, the patient developed sudden severe limb pain. Immediate evaluation showed acute popliteal artery occlusion in the leg.

Without delay, thrombectomy was performed, the clot was removed, and blood flow was restored, saving the limb and preventing permanent damage.

This case highlights the importance of timely diagnosis, rapid intervention, and a skilled medical team working together to save both life and limb.

Scrub Typhus is a serious but often missed infection
caused by a bacterium called Orientia tsutsugamushi.
It spreads through the bite of tiny infected mites
(chiggers) found in:
• Bushy areas
• Tall grass
• Farmlands
• Forest edges
• Scrub vegetation
Cases increase during the monsoon and post-monsoon season.
📍 WHERE DOES IT ORIGINATE?
The bacteria live in rodents like field rats.
Mites bite these rodents and become infected.
When humans walk, sit, or work in grassy or bushy areas,
the mites can bite exposed skin and transmit the infection.
You don’t feel the bite.
You don’t see the mite.
But the bacteria enter the bloodstream silently.
🩺 SYMPTOMS (6–21 days after bite):
• High, persistent fever
• Severe headache
• Body pains and fatigue
• Cough or breathlessness
• Nausea or vomiting
• Swollen lymph nodes
• Rash
• Dark scab-like mark at bite site (eschar)

🌬️ COPD & ASTHMA – Are they the same?
❌ NO. They are definitely different.

🫁 ASTHMA
Asthma is a condition where the airways in the lungs narrow temporarily due to inflammation and spasm.
This can be triggered by dust, allergy, cold air, infections, or sometimes unhygienic food.
Symptoms include wheezing, chest tightness, cough, and breathlessness.
