👃 Mastering Your Nasal Spray: Are You Doing It Right?
(Watch our latest Reel for a complete visual guide! 🎬)
Many people don't realize that how they use their nasal spray affects how well it works. Using the right technique is crucial to ensure the medication reaches the nasal passages and to reduce side effects like throat irritation.
Check the guide in our infographic above ⬆️ and save this post 📌 to practice the proper technique later!
Key Steps to Remember:
1. Prep: Gently blow your nose first.
2. Prime: Shake the bottle and prime the spray (if it’s new or hasn’t been used recently).
3. Position: Tilt your head slightly forward. This is a crucial step that many people miss!
4. Aim: Point the tip outwards, towards the ear, away from the septum (the middle of the nose).
5. Spray & Breathe: Breathe in gently as you spray. Do NOT sniff hard, as that sends the medication to your throat.
It's all about making sure the medication stays where it can do its job.
