Many people don’t realize that certain everyday foods can worsen hormone imbalance and make symptoms like anxiety, weight loss, tremors, or palpitations even stronger.

🚫 Foods to limit or avoid if you have Hyperthyroidism:
🍌 Banana
🍄 Mushroom
🦞 Seafood
🧂 Iodised salt

These foods are rich in iodine, which can overstimulate your already active thyroid gland, leading to further hormone imbalance and complications if not monitored.

At Goutham’s Diabetes & Hormone Care, we help patients understand how diet plays a crucial role in managing thyroid function — because healing starts from what you eat every day. 🌿

Groundnuts (peanuts) contain goitrogenic nutrients — compounds that can interfere with thyroid hormone production and affect your metabolism. When consumed regularly, especially by those with thyroid imbalance, they may worsen symptoms like fatigue, weight gain, hair fall, and mood changes.

Most people don’t realize that even simple daily foods like chutneys can impact their hormonal health. It’s not about completely avoiding them — but about knowing what quantity and combinations are safe for your thyroid.

At Goutham’s Diabetes & Hormone Care, we focus on educating patients about these subtle dietary triggers that silently disturb hormone balance. Our experts help you:
🌿 Understand your body’s thyroid needs
🍴 Plan a thyroid-friendly diet
🧠 Manage hormones naturally and medically
🩺 Restore metabolism and energy the right way

✨ Your health starts with awareness — even from what’s on your plate.

Part 4: Managing Calories & Diet in Diabetes During Pregnancy 🤰💙
After confirming that a mother has diabetes during pregnancy, the next crucial step is understanding the right calorie intake and balanced diet.

✅ Calorie requirements during pregnancy:
• 1st Trimester (0–3 months): 35 calories per kg body weight
• 2nd Trimester (4–6 months): 37 calories per kg body weight
• 3rd Trimester (6–9 months): 40 calories per kg body weight

However, this also depends on the mother’s baseline body weight and how much weight she is gaining during pregnancy. The exact calorie intake may vary for each individual.

At Gautam’s Diabetes & Hormone Care, we guide every expecting mother to follow a personalized diet plan for 2 weeks.
• If her sugar levels remain in control, she can continue with the same diet plan.
• If not, we suggest appropriate medication or insulin as needed.

With proper diet, regular monitoring, and professional guidance, we can ensure both mother and baby stay healthy and safe. 👩‍🍼❤️

👶 Pregnancy & Diabetes – Part 3
Monitoring your blood sugar levels during pregnancy is extremely important — for both the mother’s health and the baby’s growth.

Here’s how you can identify Gestational Diabetes:
✅ Fasting (Empty Stomach): Above 92 mg/dL
✅ 1 Hour after Glucose: Above 180 mg/dL
✅ 2 Hours after Glucose: Above 155 mg/dL

If your values are higher than these limits, it indicates Gestational Diabetes Mellitus (GDM). But don’t worry — with early diagnosis, proper treatment, and regular monitoring, you can ensure a safe pregnancy and deliver a healthy baby. 👩‍🍼💖

At Goutham’s Diabetes and Hormone Care, we specialize in guiding expectant mothers through every step of diabetes management — ensuring both mother and child stay healthy and happy. 🌸

Many people still live with outdated beliefs about diabetes — and that confusion often delays proper care. Let’s clear the air 👇

1️⃣ “Diabetes means no sugar ever!”
You don’t have to completely give up everything sweet. What truly matters is how much and how often you eat sugar. Pairing small portions with fiber or protein helps prevent sugar spikes.

2️⃣ “Only overweight people get diabetes.”
While obesity increases risk, anyone can get diabetes — even people with normal weight. That’s because it’s often linked to insulin resistance, family history, hormonal issues, or inactivity.

3️⃣ “Diabetes is irreversible.”
Type 2 diabetes can go into remission with lifestyle correction — consistent exercise, balanced diet, and regular follow-ups can bring sugar levels back to normal ranges.

4️⃣ “Once diagnosed, it will keep getting worse.”
Not true! With the right medical guidance, people can lead full, healthy lives. The earlier you take charge, the better your long-term outcomes.

💙 Takeaway: Don’t let myths manage your health.
If you have doubts, talk to a specialist who focuses on the root cause, not just the sugar number.

🗓️ National Anti Drug Addiction Day
Today, we pause to recognize the devastating impact of drug addiction—and to reaffirm our commitment to prevention, support, and recovery.

This powerful visual reminds us that addiction is not just a personal struggle—it’s a societal challenge that affects families, communities, and futures. The haunting figure of addiction looms large, but hope shines through in the act of compassion and care.

💡 “Too many dreams have been shattered by drugs. Don’t let it happen to you.”
Let’s choose awareness over ignorance, empathy over judgment, and healing over silence. Together, we can build a brighter, drug-free future.
