The need to be 'perfect' has been imbedded in our life since our birth. The idea of being anything but perfect has a basis of unhappiness and body dysmorphia.
But what does it mean to be perfect and who decide these norms ?
We are forever growing, and what was deemed perfect at one time no longer holds true today. We are at a stage where we get to decide what works for us and what does not. You are a messy mix of imperfections, which makes you stand out and be your own self, one that makes mistakes and learns from them.
Perfection is tiring. And non attainable.
Embrace more.
More joy. More hugs. More you for puppies. More ice cream. More you being you.
