This is a 8 years old boy from remote village....got an accidental thorn prick while playing and found to have corneal perforation with traumatic cataract along with anterior lens capsule...we have initially managed with medication to control inflammation and aftet a week he was treated surgically under General Anesthesia phaco- aspiration done with foldable PCIOL. Post op period was uneventful. His pre op vision was only hand movements and post operative vision improved to 6/6p. The surgery was done under Tamilnadu CMCHIS. Patient father and child were so much happy....our service will continue
