Our Story

The Krishna IVF is a globally renowned clinic for reproductive medicine. The clinic is committed to proving best in class clinical treatment for infertile couple and believes in the joy of celebrating motherhood over the past two and half decades since its inception in 1996. The centre is located in city of destiny Visakhapatnam in the state of Andhra Pradesh, India operating in an area of more than 30,000 square feet furnished with state-of-the art infrastructure, next generation technologies.

The founder of the clinic, Dr.GA Rama Raju is an accomplished reproductive endocrinology and infertility specialist and globally renowned for his achievements in the field of infertility treatment. Dr. Raju lead the clinic along with his team of experienced and capable gynecologists, pathologists, radiologists, senior embryologists, geneticists, lab technologists and nurses. The clinic was known for its innovation, advancement of technologies to remain ahead of its times in serving the infertility community. A few laurels to its credit to mention here are, it had its first IVF twin babies of vizag in the year 1997, ICSI & TESA ICSI for the first time done in state of andhrapradesh in 1998, Laser assisted hatching was done in 2000 for first time in entire south India, First time in India ICSI supported by spindle view by polscope, PGD and verification in 2005 for the first time again in entire south India lastly first in India and second or third in whole of Asia to use Total time lapse (Geri +) for embryo monitoring. The success rates of the clinic are always higher than the global averages, Krishna IVF is undoubtedly a tertiary care clinic in the field of infertility in close reference to its patient health profiles.

In addition to the clinical excellence the clinic has simultaneously focused and emphasised on the importance of academic collaborations and research. The clinic was recognized as an external research centre for PhD programmes of two renowned universities namely, Andhra University & GITAM University at Visakhapatnam. Dr. Rama Raju was also invited and serving the student fraternity as visiting Professor to Giessen University, Germany, visiting Professor to Sri Ramachandra Medical University, Chennai and Honorary Professor in department of Bio-Technology, Andhra University and adjunct professor at GITAM University. He got many publications to his credit which appeared leading research journals and conferences with h-Index: 14, i10-Index: 14, and Citations over 847. He co-edited a book for Elsevier publications titled “Individualized controlled ovarian stimulation (ICOS). The recent cover page research article published in European Journal of Obstetrics & Gynecology and Reproductive Biology, is a land mark work by Dr. Raju did on the role of LH in ART cycles. Delivered several clinical lectures and keynote addresses across the globe. The clinic completely understand the power of knowledge and its multiplying effect in sharing and disseminating the same to a wide range of audience such as students of various universities, clinicians and technicians across the globe come to Krishna IVF to learn under the flag ship programme called “Preceptorship”. The clinic also run various certificate programmes and training sessions for the budding professional in the field of infertility.

The corporate world, both Indian and international professional bodies involved in fertility treatment has widely recognized the extensive understanding and contributions of Dr. Raju in the field of infertility. In recognition of his contributions he was appointed as Advisor to Merck on their global advisory Board, SAMSUNG R&D recognized the clinic as trusted partner for developing applications in the field of Ultrasound (Sonography) basing on AI & ML technologies, serving as honorary member on the board of many professional bodies in India and abroad.
