📰 பி.எம். மெடிக்கல் சென்டர் மற்றும் ரோட்டரி கிளப் இணைந்து நடத்திய நீரிழிவு நோய் விழிப்புணர்வு நடைப்பயணம்

உலக நீரிழிவு தினத்தை முன்னிட்டு வாலாஜாபேட்டையில் உள்ள பி.எம். மெடிக்கல் சென்டர் மற்றும் ராணிப்பேட்டை ரோட்டரி கிளப் இணைந்து நீரிழிவு நோய் மற்றும் அதனால் ஏற்படும் பக்கவிளைவுகள் குறித்து விழிப்புணர்வு ஏற்படுத்தும் நோக்கில் நடைப்பயணத்தை (Walkathon) ஏற்பாடு செய்தது.

இந்த விழிப்புணர்வு நடைப்பயணத்தை டாக்டர் எம். எஸ். சேஷாத்ரி கொடியசைத்து துவங்கி வைத்தார்.

இந்த நடைப்பயணம் 14.11.2025 காலை 6.30 மணிக்கு ரோட்டரி கிளப், ராணிப்பேட்டையில் துவங்கி நவல்பூர் சாலை வழியாக முத்துக்கடை பேருந்து நிறுத்தம் வரை நடைபெற்றது. சுமார் 100 பேர் ஆர்வமுடன் கலந்து கொண்டு, பொதுமக்களுக்கு நீரிழிவு நோய் மற்றும் அதனால் ஏற்படும் பாதிப்பு குறித்து விழிப்புணர்வு ஏற்படுத்தினர்.

நடைப்பயணத்துக்குப் பின், டாக்டர் ஜி. மணிகண்டன், நீரிழிவு நிபுணர், ( பி.எம். மெடிக்கல் சென்டர் ) விழிப்புணர்வு உரையாற்றினார். அவர், “நீரிழிவை கட்டுப்படுத்தினால் இதயம், சிறுநீரகம், கண் மற்றும் பாதங்கள் பாதுகாப்பாக இருக்கும். சரியான உணவு, உடற்பயிற்சி, சீரான பரிசோதனை ஆகியவையே நீண்ட ஆயுளின் அடிப்படை” என கூறினார்.

இறுதியாக, நீரிழிவு நோய்க்கு எதிராக மக்கள் மத்தியில் விழிப்புணர்வு ஏற்படுத்தும் உறுதிமொழி எடுக்கப்பட்டது.

இந்த நிகழ்ச்சி உள்ளூர் மக்களிடையே பெருமளவு பாராட்டைப் பெற்றது.

🚶‍♂️🚶‍♀️ WORLD DIABETES DAY – AWARENESS WALKATHON 🚶‍♀️🚶‍♂️

PM Medical Centre, in association with the Rotary Club Ranipet, proudly conducted a World Diabetes Day Walkathon on 14.11.2025 to create awareness on diabetes and its complications.

The event was inaugurated by Dr. M. S. Seshadri, who flagged off the walkathon. Around 100 enthusiastic participants took part and marched with powerful messages on diabetes prevention, early diagnosis, and lifestyle modification.

The walk started at Rotary Club, Ranipet, moved via Market Feeder Road, Navalpur , muthukadai bus stand and ended in Rotary club for an area of 2.5 kms spreading awareness throughout the route.

At the finishing point, all participants gathered back at the Rotary Club for a short diabetes awareness talk by Dr.G.Manigandan, focusing on early detection, foot care, eye care, heart & kidney protection.

The event concluded with a strong message:
“Let’s fight diabetes together – healthy steps today for a healthier tomorrow!”

🦶 World Podiatry Day Awareness Camp at PM Medical Centre 🩺

On the occasion of World Podiatry Day, on October 8th 2025, PM Medical Centre along with Indian Podiatry Association and IMA Vellore Branch conducted a Diabetic Foot Awareness Camp to emphasize the importance of foot care among diabetic patients.

✅ All participants underwent Monofilament testing and Biothesiometry screening for early detection of neuropathy.
✅ Patients with diabetic foot wounds received free wound dressing and care.
✅ The camp concluded with an interactive education session on “Diabetic Foot Care and Prevention of Amputation” by
Dr. G. Manigandan MD DNB MNAMS F.Diab DAA(CMC Vellore) FDFM FIPA , Consultant Physician &
Dr. L. Santhanagopal MS MCIP FMIS FDFM Consultant Surgeon.

💬 The session highlighted how early detection, proper foot hygiene, and regular screening can save limbs and lives.

Together, let’s step towards a future free from diabetic foot complications! 👣

🌟 Empowering Nurses for Better Diabetes Care! 🌟

An Insulin Hands-on Workshop was held on October 6th at IMA Vellore Hall, conducted by eminent faculties from RSSDI Tamil Nadu Chapter in association with IMA Vellore. 💉

Our PM Medical Centre nurses actively participated and gained practical knowledge on insulin administration, storage, and injection techniques. 👩‍⚕️👨‍⚕️

Training our staff nurses is a vital step toward excellence in patient care, as they spend the most time with patients — educating, supporting, and ensuring safe diabetes management every day. ❤️
