The "4 Ps of diabetes" most commonly refer to four classic Symptoms: polyuria (frequent urination),
polydipsia (excessive thirst),
polyphagia (excessive hunger), and
polyneuropathy (nerve damage). Sometimes, polyneuropathy is replaced or supplemented with another "P" like pruritus (itching) or weight loss, and often only the first three Ps are highlighted.
Other common symptoms : weight loss, Blurred vision, Slow Healing Sores, Tingling or Numbness.
7 pillars of Diabetes:
Healthy eating, Being active, Monitoring & Taking medication, Problem solving, Healthy coping and reducing Risks.

November 14 is celebrated as World Diabetes Day to commemorate the birthday of Sir Frederick Banting, co-discoverer of insulin in 1922. This date was chosen to honor his work, which transformed diabetes from a fatal disease into a manageable one. The day, established by the International Diabetes Federation (IDF) and the World Health Organization (WHO), raises global awareness about diabetes and its prevention.
