Sleep apnea is a sleep disorder where breathing repeatedly stops and starts during sleep. It's more common than people realize and can seriously impact health if left untreated.

There are two main types:

1. Obstructive Sleep Apnea (OSA) – Most common type
Caused by a physical blockage of the airway, usually when the soft tissue in the back of the throat collapses during sleep.
