These are our TTC students preparing to teach.
It brings up an important question—
How much should a teacher prepare for every class?
Do you rely on structure…
or do you trust spontaneity in the moment?
At our end, we see it a little differently.
When a teacher’s personal yoga practice is consistent and strong, and there is clarity in what they are experiencing through that practice, both preparation and spontaneity begin to support each other.
Many meaningful moments in a class arise spontaneously… but without preparation, it becomes difficult to sustain or guide the class effectively.
This is something we consciously work on in our Teacher Training.
What has your experience been?
Where do you stand in this—preparation, spontaneity, or both
