Disclaimer: While some treatments can be combined safely under the right hands, it really depends on your provider, your skin type, and your specific goals. This is just what I personally follow in my practice.

No hate to anyone who does things differently , here’s simply why I don’t combine microneedling and chemical peels in the same session:

1️⃣ Depth matters. Most peels are meant to act on the epidermis. When combined with microneedling, the acids can go deeper than intended, leading to burns, prolonged redness, and even cytotoxic reactions.

2️⃣ Too much inflammation = trouble. Overstressing the skin can delay recovery, trigger collagen breakdown instead of production, and raise the risk of post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation.

3️⃣ Your skin barrier needs time. Both treatments create controlled micro-injuries — stacking them can overwhelm your barrier, increasing chances of infection, irritation, and long-term sensitivity.

There’s no “one-size-fits-all” in skincare, just science, safety, and personalization 💆‍♀️✨
