Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) is a developmental disorder caused by differences in the brain. People with autism generally experience some degree of difficulty with social interaction and communication.

Here is a list of foods that make great choices for kids and adults suffering from ASD.
Nuts & Seeds- Nuts and seeds are rich in Omega-3 and Omega-6 which help improve brain functions. Minerals like calcium, zinc, and magnesium in nuts help reduce stress and boost immunity.
Colored Fruits, Vegetables and Beans-
Are full of vitamins, minerals, antioxidants, and fermentable fibres which aid digestion, boost immunity and health, protect cells from oxidative damage, aid detoxification, and learning abilities.
Grass-Fed Animal Proteins & Fish- Fatty fishes such as mackerel, tuna, and salmon come brimming with DHA and EPA which may help improve brain functions and mood in children. These nutrients also aid improves memory and learning abilities in kids. Grass-fed proteins like chicken contain essential amino acids that energize the body and aid growth and development.
Fortified Eggs- contain powerful antioxidants such as selenium and phosphorus which help fight free radicals. Plus, healthy fats and proteins are great for growth and tissue repair.
