🤩 Whether you are looking for weight loss, lifestyle change or just convenient healthy food, we’ve got your back! Our team of licensed dietitians and highly trained professional chefs, will work on planning nutritious menus tailored to your individual needs, and will prepare healthy, ready-to-eat meals to be delivered to your doorstep!  
 
🍱 The menus include a wide variety of healthy meal choices from different cuisines and will cover meals for breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks. Our packages include but are not limited to weight loss, exercise and sport performance, convenient healthy food, vegetarian/vegan, and pregnancy.

It's World Breastfeeding Week! 

🤱 Breastfeeding has health benefits for both babies and mothers. Breast milk provides a baby with ideal nutrition and supports growth and development. Breastfeeding can also help protect baby and mom against certain illnesses and diseases.

⚠️ WHO, UNICEF and American Academy of Pediatrics recommend that children initiate breastfeeding within the first hour of birth and be exclusively breastfed for the first 6 months of life – meaning no other foods or liquids are provided, including water. 

🕦 Infants should be breastfed on demand – that is as often as the child wants, day and night. No bottles, teats or pacifiers should be used. 

🥦 From the age of 6 months, children should begin eating safe and adequate complementary foods while continuing to breastfeed for up to 2 years and beyond.

Why are whole-grain foods good for you?

🍞 Whole-grain foods have important nutrients such as fibre, vitamins, and minerals.

✅ Whole grain foods are a healthier choice than refined grains and white breads and pastas because whole grain foods include all parts of the grain. Refined grains have some parts of the grain removed during processing.

✅ Whole grain foods have more fibre than refined grains. Eating foods higher in fibre can help lower your risk of stroke, colon cancer, heart disease and type 2 diabetes.

🥖 Barley, quinoa, oats, brown rice, or whole-grain pastas, breads and cereals are some whole-grain foods.

💡 Aim to make at least half of a day’s grains whole grains.

🧐 When reading food labels, look for the words "whole grain" in the ingredient list, followed by the name of the grain, such as whole-grain oats, and whole grain wheat. Color also is not a reliable way to pick a whole-grain product. Sometimes molasses or other added ingredients give a food that nice brown color. Also, choose products high in fiber with fewer added sugars.

Protein Food Sources for Vegetarians

🤩 Proteins are needed for many of the important functions that make our body work properly. A common misconception is that those who do not eat any meat or fish will not consume enough protein. However, vegans and vegetarians typically do get enough protein from their diet.

☑️ Proteins are made up of substances called amino acids. Our bodies can make some of these amino acids, but others known as ‘essential’ amino acids, are needed from the diet.

✅ Consuming a range of plant protein sources will help ensure you are getting enough of all the essential amino acids. 

🥜 Vegetarian sources of protein include:

- Legumes such as beans, peas and lentils
- Whole grains
- Soy products
- Nuts and nut butters
- Dairy products (vegetarians, not vegans)
- Eggs (vegetarians, not vegans)
