التقى اليوم المنسق المقيم للأمم المتحدة في العراق، غلام إسحق زي، مع مستشار الأمن القومي العراقي، السيد قاسم الأعرجي، لبحث الجهود الجارية لإعادة المواطنين العراقيين من مخيمي الهول وروج في شمال شرقي سوريا، وتعزيز التعاون بين الأمم المتحدة والحكومة العراقية لدعم إعادة اندماج العائدين داخل المجتمع.

UN Resident Coordinator in Iraq, Ghulam M. Isaczai, met with Iraq’s National Security Advisor, Mr. Qasim Al-Araji, to discuss the ongoing repatriation of Iraqi civilian nationals from Al-Hol and Al-Roj Camps in northeast Syria, as well as continued UN–Government cooperation to support reintegration of returnees into society.

في افتتاح مؤتمر العراق للطاقة الذي عُقد في بغداد برعاية وحضور دولة رئيس الوزراء محمد شياع السوداني، سلّط المنسق المقيم للأمم المتحدة في العراق، غلام محمد إسحق زي، الضوء على رؤية مشتركة لعراق يتمتع بأمنٍ في مجال الطاقة واقتصاد متنوع وقدرة على الصمود في مواجهة تغيّر المناخ.

وأكد أن تحقيق هذه الرؤية يعتمد على شراكات قوية بين الحكومة والقطاع الخاص والشركاء الدوليين والأمم المتحدة، مجدداً التزام الأمم المتحدة بدعم الأولويات الوطنية في إطار التعاون من أجل التنمية المستدامة للأمم المتحدة 2025–2029 وتسريع التقدم نحو أهداف التنمية المستدامة.

At the opening of the Iraq Energy Conference in Baghdad, held under the patronage and in the presence of Prime Minister Mohammed Shia’ Al-Sudani, UN Resident Coordinator in Iraq, Ghulam M. Isaczai, highlighted a shared vision for an energy-secure, economically diversified, and climate-resilient Iraq.

He stressed that achieving this vision requires strong partnerships between the Gov't, private sector, international partners, and United Nations, reaffirming the UN’s commitment to supporting national priorities under the UN Sustainable Development Cooperation Framework 2025–2029 and accelerating progress toward the Sustainable Development Goals.

عقدت الأمم المتحدة والاتحاد الأوروبي اليوم في بغداد حواراً استراتيجياً لتعزيز التعاون دعماً لأولويات العراق ضمن إطار الأمم المتحدة للتعاون من أجل التنمية المستدامة (2025–2029)،

وركزت المناقشات على التنمية الاجتماعية، وتوفير فرص العمل والإصلاح الاقتصادي، وتعزيز القدرة على الصمود في مجالي المناخ والمياه، إضافة إلى الحوكمة، مع تجديد التأكيد على أهمية الشراكات المنسقة ومتعددة السنوات لتحقيق نتائج مستدامة وشاملة في جميع أنحاء العراق.

في هذا الأسبوع وبمناسبة اليوم الدولي للطاقة النظيفة، جدّد الأمين العام للأمم المتحدة التأكيد على أن التحول نحو الطاقة النظيفة يشكّل ركيزة أساسية للعمل المناخي ومسار التنمية المستدامة.

وفي العراق، يمثّل التوسع في حلول الطاقة النظيفة خطوة محورية لتعزيز القدرة على الصمود ودفع النمو الاقتصادي وحماية البيئة للأجيال القادمة.

اليوم، خلال الفعالية التي استعرضت إنجازات وأثر برنامج تطوير الأعمال الزراعية-الغذائية المموّل من الاتحاد الأوروبي في بغداد، شدّد المنسق المقيم للأمم المتحدة في العراق، غلام إسحق زي، على أهمية الشراكات في دعم المزارعين وتعزيز النظام الغذائي في العراق.

التقى وكيل الأمين العام للأمم المتحدة لشؤون الدعم العملياتي، أتول خاري، برفقة المنسق المقيم للأمم المتحدة في العراق، غلام إسحق زي، بدولة رئيس مجلس الوزراء محمد شياع السوداني في بغداد، لبحث مرحلة انتقال دور الأمم المتحدة في العراق، وإرث بعثة الأمم المتحدة لمساعدة العراق (يونامي)، وافتتاح فصل جديد من التعاون بين الأمم المتحدة والعراق تحت مظلة إطار التعاون من أجل التنمية المستدامة.

وأعرب رئيس مجلس الوزراء عن تقديره للدعم الذي قدمته يونامي على مدى عقدين من الزمن، مع دخول التعاون بين الجانبين هذه المرحلة الجديدة.

For Baneen, a nine-year-old girl from Basra, Iraq, school is a place to learn and feel happy.
Baneen says, “I love school because I learn new things every day.”

Children like Baneen in Iraq have the right to quality and inclusive education.

The meeting reflected on United Nations Assistance Mission for Iraq’s legacy and the ongoing mission liquidation process, with the USG commending the Government of Iraq for its continued support.
