Congratulations to a Faculty Member at the College of Medicine – University of Babylon on Assuming a New Position

Professor Dr. Muhannad Abbass Al-Shalah, Dean of the College of Medicine at the University of Babylon, extended his congratulations and best wishes to Professor Dr. Lamees Abdul-Razzaq on the occasion of her appointment as Head of the Department of Microbiology.
This congratulation was conveyed during her reception in his office, where he wished her continued success in her new position in service of elevating the College of Medicine to the highest levels.

For her part, Professor Dr. Lamees Abdul-Razzaq expressed her great happiness and sincere gratitude for the warm reception, promising the Dean’s office to further develop the department and continue its scientific mission in applying the principles of quality medical education for both undergraduate and postgraduate studies.

طب بابل تعقد مجلس الكلية

برئاسة الاستاذ الدكتور مهند عباس الشلاه عميد كلية الطب والمعاون العلمي وكافة رؤساء الفروع والاستاذ الدكتور باسم عبد العالي عبد امينا" للمجلس عقد مجلس الكلية.
استهل المجلس بترحيب العميد بالأعضاء الجدد وتقديم التهاني والتبريكات لهم وهم كل من الاستاذ الدكتور قاسم امير تاج الدين بمناسبة تسنمه مهام رئاسة فرع الجراحة والاستاذ الدكتورة لميس عبد الرزاق عبد اللطيف بمناسبة تسنمها مهام رئاسة فرع الأحياء المجهرية مع التمنيات لهما بدوام التوفيق في الأعمال المكلفين بها، وأثنى العميد كذلك على الجهود المبذولة من قبل المعاون العلمي الاستاذ المساعد الدكتور أشرف محمد علي حسين والمتمثلة بتسيير أعمال رئاسة فرع الأحياء المجهرية في الفترة السابقة بالشكل الأمثل وتلبية احتياجات الفرع وتدريسيه وبما يحقق السير الصحيح للعملية التعليمية فيه.
استضاف المجلس بعد ذلك الاستاذ الدكتورة رحاب فيصل لفتة حيث عبر العميد عن شكره وامتنانه لها لمناسبة انتهاء تكليفها بمهام رئاسة فرع طب الأطفال وقدم لها درع التميز والإبداع وكتاب شكر وتقدير باسم المجلس مع الثناء على جهودها الاستثنائية المبذولة خلال فترة التكليف.
ناقش المجلس بعد ذلك جملة من التوجيهات ومن ضمنها توجيهات مجلس الجامعة الموقر بجلسته الأخيرة والتي ركزت على أهمية إكمال كافة اللجان والأعمال من قبل الفروع العلمية والتي تم التوجيه بتشكيلها وإنجازها سابقاً مع التأكيد على ضرورة رفع الخطط العلمية للفروع بكافة جوانبها وضرورة إكمال أعمال اللجنة الامتحانية من أجل ضمان السير الأمثل والصحيح للعملية التعليمية، وترصين البحث العلمي والنشر والمشاركة في المؤتمرات العلمية لرفع السمعة الأكاديمية للكلية والجامعة في كافة المحافل وأن تأخذ الفروع العلمية دورها الكامل في هذه الجوانب كافة.
استضاف المجلس كذلك الاستاذ الدكتور سلمان محمد سلمان رئيس اللجنة الفرعية للترقيات العلمية في الكلية لعرض ومناقشة عدد من الترقيات المنجزة وقيد الإنجاز والتي تخص بعضاً من تدريسيي الكلية، وتمت بعد ذلك مناقشة ما تبقى من فقرات في جدول أعمال المجلس.
College of Medicine, University of Babylon Holds a College Council Meeting

The College Council convened under the chairmanship of Professor Dr. Muhannad Abbass Al-Shalah, Dean of the College of Medicine, with the attendance of the Scientific Assistant Dean, all department heads, and Professor Dr. Basim Abdul-Aali Abd as Secretary of the Council.

The meeting began with the Dean welcoming the new members and extending congratulations to:
• Professor Dr. Qasim Ameer Taj Al-Deen on assuming his duties as Head of the Department of Surgery.
• Professor Dr. Lamees Abdul-Razzaq Abdul-Latif on assuming her duties as Head of the Department of Microbiology.

The Dean also commended the efforts of the Scientific Assistant Dean, Assistant Professor Dr. Ashraf Mohammed Ali Hussein, for successfully managing the Department of Microbiology in the previous period, ensuring the department’s needs were met and academic processes proceeded efficiently.

The Council then hosted Professor Dr. Rehab Faisal Lafta, where the Dean expressed his gratitude on the occasion of the completion of her assignment as Head of the Pediatrics Department. He presented her with the Shield of Excellence and Creativity and a Letter of Appreciation on behalf of the Council, acknowledging her exceptional efforts during her tenure.

The Council went on to discuss a number of directives, including those issued by the University Council in its recent session, emphasizing:
• The completion of all committee work previously assigned to academic departments.
• The submission of comprehensive academic development plans by all departments.
• The completion of examination committee procedures to ensure the integrity and proper progress of the educational process.
• The strengthening of scientific research, publication, and participation in scientific conferences to enhance the academic reputation of the College and University.

The Council also hosted Professor Dr. Salman Mohammed Salman, Head of the Subcommittee for Academic Promotions at the College, to present and discuss several completed and pending promotion files for faculty members. The remaining items on the meeting agenda were then reviewed and discussed.

ندوة علمية في طب بابل حول اختيار المجلة المناسبة للنشر

ضمن نشاطات وحدة التعليم المستمر في كلية الطب جامعة بابل، وتحت شعار (نحو بحث علمي منشور) أقيمت الندوة العلمية الموسومة "كيف تختار المجلة المناسبة لنشر بحثك"، وهي ندوة تطبيقية تناولت استراتيجيات اختيار المجلة وآليات النشر العلمي.
قدّم فيها م. م. مرتضى خليل عرضاً توضيحياً حول تصنيف المجلات العلمية، وشرحاً وافياً لمعايير تقييم مصداقيتها مثل وجودها ضمن قواعد بيانات عالمية (Scopus, Web of Science)، ومعرفة نوع الوصول (مفتوح أو مغلق)، وطرق التحقق من كون المجلة مفترسة أو وهمية عبر المواقع الموثوقة مثل Beall’s List أو DOAJ. كما تطرق إلى مؤشرات قياس التأثير للمجلات مثل معامل التأثير (Impact Factor) وCiteScore، موضحاً الفرق بينهما وكيفية تفسير هذه الأرقام في تقييم جودة المجلة.
بعد ذلك استهل المدرس الدكتور ليث جاسم محمد الندوة بمحاضرة تفصيلية وتطبيق عملي حول الخطوات الدقيقة لاختيار المجلة العلمية المناسبة، موضحاً الأسس التي يجب على الباحث مراعاتها قبل تقديم بحثه، مثل مجال التخصص الدقيق للمجلة، نوع المقالات التي تنشرها، سياستها التحريرية، ومتطلبات النشر الخاصة بها. كما أوضح كيفية مطابقة أهداف المجلة ونطاقها مع محتوى البحث لضمان قبول النشر وتجنب الرفض.
وتناول ايضا بالتفصيل الملفات الأساسية المطلوبة ضمن عملية التقديم، والتي تشمل ملف عدم تضارب المصالح (Conflict of Interest) الذي يوضح شفافية العلاقة بين الباحثين والجهات الداعمة، وخطاب التغطية (Cover Letter) الذي يُعد رسالة رسمية موجهة إلى رئيس التحرير تبرز أهمية البحث ومساهمته العلمية، بالإضافة إلى المخطوطة العلمية (Manuscript) بصيغتها المنظمة وفق تعليمات المجلة.
كما ركز على أهم أسباب رفض البحوث العلمية من قبل المجلات المحكمة، مشيراً إلى أن الرفض لا يرتبط فقط بضعف النتائج بل قد يكون بسبب أخطاء منهجية، أو عدم توافق البحث مع نطاق المجلة، أو ضعف في صياغة اللغة الأكاديمية، أو تكرار الفكرة دون تجديد، أو ضعف المقدمة والمناقشة.
وأكد أن كثيراً من حالات الرفض يمكن تلافيها من خلال مراجعة دقيقة قبل التقديم والالتزام الكامل بتعليمات النشر لكل مجلة.
واختتمت الندوة بعرض عملي على اختيار مجلة مناسبة لنشر بحث علمي فعلي، حيث تم تطبيق الخطوات أمام الحضور بدءاً من تحديد الكلمات المفتاحية، مروراً بعملية البحث عن المجلات في منصات النشر، وانتهاءً باختيار المجلة المثلى وفقاً لمعايير التوافق والمصداقية. كما تمت مناقشة كيفية التواصل مع المحررين والاستجابة لملاحظات المراجعين بطريقة احترافية تعزز من فرص قبول البحث.
Scientific Seminar at the College of Medicine, University of Babylon, on Choosing the Right Journal for Publication

As part of the activities of the Continuing Education Unit at the College of Medicine, University of Babylon, and under the slogan “Towards a Published Scientific Research,” a scientific seminar titled “How to Choose the Right Journal for Your Research” was held. The seminar was a practical workshop that addressed strategies for selecting suitable journals and the mechanisms of scientific publishing.

Assistant Lecturer Murtadha Khalil delivered an informative presentation on the classification of scientific journals, providing a detailed explanation of the criteria for assessing their credibility — such as indexing in global databases (Scopus, Web of Science), identifying the type of access (open or closed), and verifying whether a journal is predatory or fake using reliable resources such as Beall’s List or the DOAJ (Directory of Open Access Journals). He also discussed journal impact metrics like the Impact Factor and CiteScore, clarifying the differences between them and how these indicators reflect journal quality.

Following that, Dr. Laith Jasim Mohammed delivered a detailed lecture and a hands-on session on the precise steps to select an appropriate scientific journal. He explained the essential factors that researchers must consider before submission — including the specific field of specialization, types of articles accepted, editorial policy, and publication requirements. He emphasized the importance of aligning the aims and scope of the journal with the content of the research to increase the likelihood of acceptance and avoid rejection.

The lecture also covered the key files required during submission, such as the Conflict of Interest statement that ensures transparency between researchers and funding entities, the Cover Letter addressed to the Editor-in-Chief highlighting the significance and contribution of the study, and the Manuscript prepared according to the journal’s submission guidelines.

Dr. Laith also focused on the main reasons for manuscript rejection by peer-reviewed journals, noting that rejection is not always due to poor results. It can stem from methodological flaws, mismatch with the journal’s scope, weak academic writing, lack of originality, or poorly developed introductions and discussions. He stressed that many rejection cases can be avoided through careful pre-submission review and strict adherence to each journal’s publication instructions.

The seminar concluded with a practical demonstration of selecting an appropriate journal for an actual research paper. Participants applied each step — from identifying keywords and searching for journals on publishing platforms to choosing the most suitable journal based on relevance and credibility. The session also discussed professional communication with editors and responding to reviewers’ comments in a way that enhances the chances of publication acceptance

اجتماع لجنة المناهج في طب بابل

برئاسة عميد كلية الطب جامعة بابل ورئيس لجنة المناهج الاستاذ الدكتور مهند عباس الشلاه، عقدت اللجنة اجتماعها الاعتيادي للعام الدراسي 2025-2026 بحضور ممثل دائرة صحة بابل الدكتور محمد عبد الله عجرش والسادة اعضاء اللجنة من الفروع العلمية كافة وممثل الطلبة.
في بداية الاجتماع رحب العميد بالسادة الحضور وبارك لهم الجهود المبذولة طيلة العام الدراسي للنهوض بواقع العملية التعليمية في طب بابل مؤكدا" على الدور الرئيسي والفعال للجنة المناهج كونها اهم لجان الكلية ويقع على عاتقها اعداد المنهاج الدراسي وتحديثه وتطبيقه بأتم وجه.
ووجه العميد شكره وامتنانه للسيد ممثل دائرة صحة بابل لحضوره اجتماعات اللجان العلمية في الكلية مما يؤكد العلاقة التكاملية بين كلية الطب ودائرة الصحة بالشكل الذي ينعكس ايجابا على سير العملية التعليمية في الكلية.
تضمن منهاج الاجتماع العديد من الفقرات الخاصة بالمنهاج الدراسي والذي اكد على ضرورة ان تأخذ الفروع العلمية دورها في صياغة ومراجعة وتحديث المنهاج الدراسي ورفع التقارير الدورية الخاصة بمتابعة تنفيذ المنهاج الدراسي وكذلك توفير كل الموارد اللازمة لتنفيذه، وتم إقرار التوصيات اللازمة بشأن فقرات الاجتماع.
Curriculum Committee Meeting at the College of Medicine – University of Babylon

Chaired by the Dean of the College of Medicine, University of Babylon, and Chairman of the Curriculum Committee, Professor Dr. Muhannad Abbass Al-Shalah, the committee held its regular meeting for the academic year 2025–2026 with the attendance of Dr. Mohammed Abdullah Ajrash, representative of the Babylon Health Directorate, along with committee members from all academic departments and the student representative.

At the beginning of the meeting, the Dean welcomed the attendees and commended their efforts throughout the academic year to advance the educational process at the College of Medicine. He emphasized the pivotal and active role of the Curriculum Committee, describing it as one of the most important committees in the college, entrusted with the task of designing, updating, and effectively implementing the academic curriculum.

The Dean also expressed his appreciation and gratitude to the representative of the Babylon Health Directorate for attending the scientific committee meetings of the college, highlighting the integrative relationship between the College of Medicine and the Health Directorate, which positively contributes to the progress of the educational process.

The meeting agenda included several items related to the academic curriculum. It stressed the importance of each academic department actively participating in the formulation, review, and continuous updating of the curriculum, as well as submitting periodic reports on its implementation. Additionally, the committee discussed ensuring the availability of all necessary resources to support curriculum delivery. The meeting concluded with the adoption of the appropriate recommendations regarding the discussed items.

قدم الاستاذ الدكتور مهند عباس الشلاه عميد كلية الطب جامعة بابل التهاني والتبريكات الى الأستاذ الدكتورة فرح نبيل عباس رئيس فرع علم وظائف الاعضاء لمناسبة تسنمها منصب مسؤول مركز بابل لبورد الفسلجة العصبية السريرية التابع للمجلس العراقي للاختصاصات الطبية بحضور المعاون العلمي الاستاذ المساعد الدكتور اشرف محمدعلي حسين.
وجاءت هذه التهنئة خلال استقبالها في مكتبه متمنيا لها دوام الموفقية والنجاح في منصبها الجديد خدمة للارتقاء بطب بابل الى اعلى المستويات.
من جانبها عبرت الدكتورة فرح نبيل عباس عن شكرها وامتنانها لهذه المبادرة واعدةً العمادة بالارتقاء بهذا التخصص الى ارقى المستويات ليصبح مركز بابل من افضل المراكز على مستوى العراق واعطت نبذة مختصرة عن ما يقوم به البرنامج التدريبي لهذا التخصص بتزويد الطبيب المتدرب بالمعرفة والمهارة اللازمة ليصبح استشاريا قادرا على توفير اعلى معايير الخدمة للمرضى الذين بحاجة لفحوص الفسلجة العصبية السريرية.
حيث يتم تدريب الطبيب الذي يعمل في هذا التخصص على اجراء الفحوص المتعلقة بتخطيط الدماغ (EEG)، تخطيط الاعصاب والعضلات (EMG)، فحوص الجهاز العصبي المستثارة (Evoked potentials)، تخطيط الاعصاب والعضلات اثناء اجراء عمليات جراحة الجملة العصبية (IONM) بالإضافة الى دراسة سونار الاعصاب والعضلات وغيرها من الفحوصات الساندة.
وبينت ايضا ان المناهج العلمية للدراسة تتضمن خمس سنوات في المستشفيات التعليمية والمراكز العراقية المتخصصة. في كل سنة دراسية هناك جوانب متعددة يخضع لها الطالب منها الجانب النظري والسريري بالإضافة الى وجود امتحانات اولية ووسطية ونهائية ووجود مشروع بحثي يؤديه الطالب كجزء من متطلبات الحصول على هذه الشهادة.

Professor Dr. Muhannad Abbass Al-Shalah, Dean of the College of Medicine at the University of Babylon, extended his heartfelt congratulations and best wishes to Professor Dr. Farah Nabeel Abbass, Head of the Department of Physiology, on the occasion of her appointment as Director of the Babylon Center for Clinical Neurophysiology Board, affiliated with the Iraqi Board for Medical Specializations.
The congratulations were conveyed during her visit to the Dean’s office, in the presence of the Associate Dean for Scientific Affairs, Assistant Professor Dr. Ashraf Mohammed Ali Hussein.

During the meeting, the Dean wished her continued success in her new position, emphasizing his confidence in her capabilities and dedication to advancing the College of Medicine to higher levels of excellence.

In turn, Dr. Farah Nabeel Abbass expressed her sincere gratitude and appreciation for this kind gesture, pledging to elevate this specialty to the highest standards so that the Babylon Center becomes one of the leading centers in Iraq. She also provided a brief overview of the training program offered by this specialty, which aims to equip trainees with the necessary knowledge and skills to become consultants capable of providing the highest standards of care to patients requiring clinical neurophysiological examinations.

She explained that training in this field includes procedures such as Electroencephalography (EEG), Electromyography and Nerve Conduction Studies (EMG/NCS), Evoked Potentials, Intraoperative Neurophysiological Monitoring (IONM) during neurosurgical operations, and neuromuscular ultrasound, among other supportive investigations.

Dr. Abbas further noted that the academic curriculum spans five years within teaching hospitals and specialized Iraqi centers. Each academic year comprises theoretical and clinical components, as well as preliminary, midterm, and final examinations, in addition to a research project that constitutes part of the requirements for obtaining the certification.

طب بابل تحصل على تقدير (امتياز) في التقييم الوزاري

تقديرا" للجهود العلمية المتميزة لكلية الطب جامعة بابل في تعزيز معايير الجودة والاعتماد الأكاديمي، منح جهاز الإشراف والتقويم العلمي في وزارة التعليم العالي والبحث العلمي كتاب شكر وتقدير إلى عميد كلية الطب الاستاذ الدكتور مهند عباس الشلاه بعد حصول الكلية على تقدير (امتياز) في تقييم الواقع العلمي والأكاديمي للعام الدراسي 2024-2025.

College of Medicine, University of Babylon, Receives an “Excellent” Rating in the Ministerial Evaluation

In recognition of the outstanding scientific efforts of the College of Medicine, University of Babylon, in strengthening quality standards and academic accreditation, the Supervision and Scientific Evaluation Authority at the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research granted a Letter of Appreciation to Professor Dr. Muhannad Abbass Al-Shalah, Dean of the College of Medicine, after the college achieved an “Excellent” rating in the evaluation of the scientific and academic reality for the 2024–2025 academic year.

This recognition is the result of the continuous support provided by the University Presidency, represented by Professor Dr. Ameen Ajeel Al-Yasiri, University President, Professor Dr. Mohammed Mansour Al-Khafaji, Scientific Assistant, and Professor Dr. Meethaq Talib Al-Jubouri, Administrative Assistant, along with the efforts of the College Deanery, heads of departments, the Medical Education Unit, and the academic and administrative staff in advancing academic and research performance. رئيس فرع طب الأسرة والمجتمع في طب بابل يشارك في مؤتمر بتركيا

شارك الأستاذ الدكتور قيس إسماعيل عجام رئيس فرع طب الأسرة والمجتمع في كلية الطب جامعة بابل، في المؤتمر العلمي Endobridge المتخصص في أمراض الغدد الصماء والسكري والسمنة والذي عقد في انطاليا / تركيا .
وقد تضمن المؤتمر جلسات علمية ناقشت بشكل معمق موضوع السمنة، بما في ذلك أسبابها وعوامل الخطورة المرتبطة بها، إضافة إلى استعراض أبرز المضاعفات الصحية الناجمة عنها.
كما تناولت الجلسات أحدث الأساليب العلاجية والوقائية، مع التركيز على المقاربات الحديثة في التشخيص والتدخل العلاجي متعدد التخصصات.
Head of the Department of Family and Community Medicine at the College of Medicine, University of Babylon, Participates in a Conference in Turkey

Professor Dr. Qais Ismail Ajjam, Head of the Department of Family and Community Medicine at the College of Medicine, University of Babylon, participated in the Endobridge Scientific Conference specialized in endocrine, diabetes, and obesity disorders, held in Antalya, Turkey.

The conference included scientific sessions that provided an in-depth discussion on obesity, addressing its causes and associated risk factors, as well as reviewing the major health complications resulting from it.

The sessions also covered the latest therapeutic and preventive approaches, with a particular focus on modern diagnostic methods and multidisciplinary treatment strategies for managing obesity and related endocrine conditions.

طب بابل تقيم ندوة توعوية عن مكافحة الفساد في العراق

ضمن نشاطات وحدة التعليم المستمر وبالتعاون مع وحدة الإرشاد التربوي والدعم النفسي وبرعاية فرع التشريح والانسجة اقامت كلية الطب جامعة بابل ندوة توعوية بعنوان (الإطار القانوني لمكافحة الفساد في العراق) حضرها عضو لجنة الارشاد التربوي الاستاذ المساعد الدكتورة أسماء محمد مكي وعدد من تدريسي الكلية.
القى فيها م.م. عبد الرسول غازي المعموري محاضرة بين فيها ان الفساد الإداري والمالي يعد الفساد من اخطر التحديات التي تواجه الدولة العراقية منذ عقود. لأنه يشكل عائقا امام التنمية المستدامة ويضعف ثقه المواطنين بالمؤسسات الحكومية وسيادة القانون، ومع ان العراق تبنى تشريعات واصلاحات واسعة لمكافحة هذه الظاهرة وبعد عام ٢٠٠٣ بدا العراق ببناء منظومته القانونية والمؤسسية بهدف مكافحة الفساد بجميع أشكاله.
واشار ايضا الى ان الفساد هو الانحراف عن الصواب واستغلال الوظيفة العامة لتحقيق منافع شخصية غير مشروعة.
واوضح ان الإطار الدستوري لمكافحة الفساد هي قوانين العقوبات العراقي وان المؤسسات الوطنية المعنية بمكافحة الفساد هي مجلس القضاء الأعلى والمحاكم المختصة.
فيما بينت م.م. ختام عبدالهادي الربيعي ان الإطار القانوني لمكافحة الفساد في العراق يظهر وجود أرادة تشريعية حقيقة لمحاربة هذه الظاهرة إلى أن التطبيق العملي يواجه تحديات بنيويه.
ويتطلب النجاح بمكافحة الفساد تطبيق القانون بعدالة وضمان استقلال القضاء وتعزيز الشفافية والمسألة في مؤسسات الدولة كافة.
ولا يمكن تحقيق ذلك إلا بالتعاون بين الدولة والمجتمع والمؤسسات الإعلامية لتصبح النزاهة اسلوبا وثقافة عامة لا مجرد نصوص قانونية.
College of Medicine, University of Babylon, Holds an Awareness Seminar on Combating Corruption in Iraq

As part of the activities of the Continuing Education Unit, in cooperation with the Educational Guidance and Psychological Support Unit and under the patronage of the Department of Anatomy and Histology, the College of Medicine at the University of Babylon organized an awareness seminar entitled “The Legal Framework for Combating Corruption in Iraq.”
The seminar was attended by Assistant Professor Dr. Asmaa Mohammed Maki, a member of the Educational Guidance Committee, along with a number of faculty members.

Assistant Lecturer Abd Al-Rasool Ghazi Al-Maamouri delivered a lecture in which he explained that administrative and financial corruption represents one of the most serious challenges facing the Iraqi state for decades, as it hinders sustainable development and undermines citizens’ trust in governmental institutions and the rule of law.
He noted that although Iraq has adopted wide-ranging legislative and reform efforts to combat this phenomenon, especially after 2003, it began to build its legal and institutional framework aimed at fighting corruption in all its forms.
He further defined corruption as a deviation from correctness and the exploitation of public office for unlawful personal gain.
He clarified that the constitutional framework for combating corruption in Iraq is based on the Iraqi Penal Code, and that the national institutions responsible for addressing corruption include the Supreme Judicial Council and the specialized courts.

Meanwhile, Assistant Lecturer Khetam Abdulhadi Al-Rubaie emphasized that the legal framework for combating corruption in Iraq reflects a genuine legislative will to fight this phenomenon; however, its practical implementation faces structural challenges.
She stressed that the success of anti-corruption efforts requires fair enforcement of the law, judicial independence, and the promotion of transparency and accountability across all state institutions.
She concluded that this goal cannot be achieved without cooperation among the state, society, and media institutions, so that integrity becomes a general culture and way of life rather than merely legal texts

عميد طب بابل يستقبل فريق تقصي الحقائق

استقبل الاستاذ الدكتور مهند عباس الشلاه عميد كلية الطب جامعة بابل في مكتبه فريق تقصي الحقائق في مكتب المفوضية العليا لحقوق الإنسان في بابل، المكوَّن من المستشار القانوني الأقدم عبد الحسن رسمي و م. مدير فني علي عبد الغفار.
في بداية اللقاء رحب العميد بوفد المفوضية، ثم قدّم الفريق نبذة عن طبيعة عمل المفوضية ودورها في متابعة قضايا حقوق الإنسان، فضلاً عن نشاطاتها في عقد الورش والندوات التوعوية الخاصة بنشر ثقافة حقوق الإنسان.
وفي ختام الزيارة، تم الاتفاق على إبرام مذكرة تفاهم بين الجانبين، تتضمن التعاون في إقامة الورش والندوات المشتركة والمشاركة في المؤتمرات العلمية والتوعوية التي تسهم في تعزيز ثقافة حقوق الإنسان داخل الوسط الأكاديمي.
Dean of the College of Medicine, University of Babylon, Receives a Fact-Finding Team

Professor Muhannad Abbass Al-Shalah, Dean of the College of Medicine, University of Babylon, received in his office the Fact-Finding Team from the Office of the High Commission for Human Rights in Babylon, represented by Senior Legal Advisor Abdul Hassan Rasmi and Assistant Technical Director Ali Abdul Ghafar.

At the beginning of the meeting, the Dean welcomed the delegation and listened to an overview presented by the team about the nature of the Commission’s work and its role in monitoring human rights issues, as well as its activities in organizing workshops and awareness seminars aimed at promoting a culture of human rights.

At the conclusion of the visit, both sides agreed to sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to enhance cooperation in holding joint workshops and seminars and participating in scientific and awareness conferences that contribute to strengthening the culture of human rights within the academic community.
