People have been contacting us at Emergency FIRST Kurdistan about helping with the disaster in Syria.

As our followers know Emergency First has the most comprehensive training and rescue equipment in Kurdistan. It is all military grade and imported high end equipment. It should not simply be sitting and doing nothing so we want to get it deployed to Syria asap.

We are open to working with an assisting any NGOS- please reach out if we can cooperate.

We have Eazy IOs trauma bandages, thermal blankets, carbon fibre stretchers, kelly extractors, thermal cameras for rescue, and much much more.

Arthur Montaque Browne will fly in on Friday to take charge of organising the equipment to get to Syria. I will bring up to 50kg of medical supplies with me, if donations can cover it.

We can also take donations for medical supply purchases to the Emergency 1st official UK or US or EURO bank accounts, paypal, etc. Please reach out if you can help us also purchase more supplies.

We are pleased to announce that our instructor trainer Arthur Montaque Browne has taken a break from working in Ukraine on the humanitarian crisis there to return to us for a few weeks to run some instructor level courses. Just like he did for the Peshmerga in 2015, He has been assisting the civil defence and hospitals with medical equipment and training for the past 5 months.

He will be in Erbil from 18th August to 1st September.

If you wish to schedule a first aid course for your team, or are interested in the instructor course, please contact us to book him to train your staff.

Our Story

The EFR Centre Kurdistan was the brainchild of Ex British & American Army medics who had worked alongside the armed forces in Kurdistan during the 2014-2018 Crisis in the Kurdistan region.

They seen the impact that the lack of medical training had on the humanitarian situation. This situation was compounded with people offering non standard and non accredited training in the region, or ‘Photoshop certificates and a handshake’ as it came to be known.

Having seen this situation also was prevalent with civil companies and organisations being tricked into paying for this kind of training, they decided in 2019 to form the first training centre in Kurdistan dedicated to offering the general population access to high quality CPR and first aid training, that was also accredited by international standards.

Our instructors took specific instructor courses with Emergency First Response Corp, A US regulated civil first aid training company, and became the only EFR instructors in the Kurdistan Region. Emergency First Response is the foremost and fastest-growing international CPR, AED and First Aid training organization. With more than 31,000 instructors worldwide, Emergency First Response is backed by 36 years of experience in the development and delivery of instructional courses, training materials and educational curricula. Emergency First Response courses have gained widespread international acceptance.
