Did you know some injuries always travel in pairs? 🦴👯‍♂️

Dr. Ahmed D. Abdulwahab is back with Exercise 19! Today we look at a patient who dislocated their shoulder. While it's easy to see the "dent" in the arm bone (the Hill-Sachs lesion [02:38]), a great radiologist knows to check the socket for a "Bankart lesion" [05:11].

If these aren't diagnosed and treated, the shoulder can keep popping out of place, leading to long-term joint damage.

The Lesson: In radiology, if you find one injury, always look for its "partner!"

Is it a tumor or something else? 🤔
Dr. Ahmed D. Abdulwahab is back with another exercise to keep your "brain muscle" strong! Today, we look at a 12-year-old boy with a leg ache that just won't go away.
At first glance, the bone looks abnormally thick, which can be scary! But as we learn in the Radiology Gym, the details are in the Bone Window. By looking closely, we find a small "nidus"—the smoking gun for an Osteoid Osteoma.
The Big Lesson: Not all thick bones are cancer. Look for the "nidus" and ask the patient if Aspirin helps their pain! 💊

Don't Get Tunnel Vision! 🚨 A Must-See Radiology Case!
The Radiology Gym is back with a powerful lesson! Dr. Abdulwahab tackles an intramedullary spinal lesion in a 19-year-old. The primary diagnosis was a Spinal Cord Dermoid Cyst (a rare finding confirmed by visible fat on MRI.
But the real lesson is the crucial finding that was initially missed: The cyst caused a neurogenic bladder leading to massive fluid backup in the kidneys (Hydronephrosis)
This is a vital reminder for all practitioners: Always scan the entire image! The small details outside the area of primary focus can sometimes be the most clinically significant.
Watch the full video and let us know if you spotted the secondary pathology! 👇

🧠 Radiology Case Challenge: Don't miss the subtle signs (and the artifacts!)
Time for a workout at The Radiology Gym! 💪 In Exercise 16, we tackle a complex neonatal case: a 3-day-old with macrocephaly on CT. We walk through identifying non-communicating hydrocephalus and the key subependymal calcifications suggestive of congenital CMV infection.
BUT wait! This case also features a classic, critical artifact. Do you know what a Ring Artifact indicates about the CT detector array?
Keep your diagnostic skills sharp—because your brain is a muscle!

Time to hit the "Radiology Gym!" 🏋️‍♂️
Join Dr. Ahmed D. Abdulwahab for Exercise 15, a detailed analysis of a knee MRI following trauma. We dissect the images layer by layer to confirm a diagnosis of lateral patellar dislocation.
In this case review, we look closely at:
Identifying the pattern of bone marrow edema [01:49].
Medial patellar retinaculum injury [04:04].
The critical measurement for Patella Alta—a key factor in recurrent dislocations [05:53].
What's the most challenging knee injury you’ve had to diagnose on MRI? Let us know in the comments! 👇

Time to hit the "Radiology Gym!" 🧠💪
Our brain is a muscle—and we have to keep practicing! Dr. Abdulwahab walks through a challenging case involving a 14-year-old who presented with an aggressive mass in the pelvis.
Can you spot the pathology? The episode highlights a vital diagnostic rule: when a bone lesion presents with a massive soft tissue component, especially in an adolescent, it strongly points toward Ewing Sarcoma، It's a life-saving diagnosis to get right!
Check out the full breakdown and see if you got the right answer! Let us know your first differential diagnosis in the comments below! 👇

Level up your Musculoskeletal MRI interpretation skills! 🧠💪
This week, "The Radiology Gym" presents Exercise 13, a focused case study perfect for radiology residents and practicing professionals looking to sharpen their diagnostic eye.
Case Focus: Evaluating an acute left thigh injury in a 28-year-old male athlete. We walk through key sequences (T2 Fat Sat, T1) to:
* Identify subtle intramuscular edema.
* Confirm the severity of the injury (diagnosing a partial tear vs. complete rupture).
* Review the critical anatomy of the adductor muscle group.
Don't let your brain atrophy—hit the gym! Watch the full case review with Dr. Abdulwahab and solidify your approach to common sports injuries.
➡️ Watch the full episode here: https://youtu.be/GI-976sXR0Y?si=8owYwXMM5y7sGSSH
What are your go-to sequences for evaluating acute muscle strain? Share your insights below!
