Movement is my medicine and it is probably the only habit I’ve never given up on.
It gives me sense of strength and empowerment, calms my mind and shapes my body. I also love the sensation of the energy flowing through my body after a good session.
I come from a sporty family, so it’s always been natural to move, but you can learn to love it, even if you don’t have it in your blood.
It’s important to find your type of activity (there are so many different ways), adjust it to your life circumstances and wait for the changes in how you feel to convince you.
And it doesn’t take much, really. You don’t need any dedicated programs or specific goals (unless you want to). For me (with a small baby on board), it is sometimes only 20 minutes. I currently don’t go to the gym or take any classes (except for mine), but I give my body the type of movement that it needs at the moment. Regularly.
There are a lot of great videos on YouTube (see my recommendations at the bottom of the post) to start with.
But if you like to be guided, you never trained regularly or you need to feel committed to showing up on a class you paid for (and you live in Reykjanesbaer), I encourage you to come to my yoga class. Every Monday (incl. today) at 17.45 in . Go to link in my bio for details or send me DM.
