I would like to share some updates with you as we begin the 2025/2026 season.
I have completed my psychotherapy training at the Polish Institute of Dance and Movement Psychotherapy in Warsaw and am currently in the process of certification.
Between April and September, I also took part in the Enactive Trauma Therapy training, focused on deepening knowledge of trauma work and dissociative identity disorder. It was an exceptional experience — I had the opportunity to work in a small group of therapists from various therapeutic approaches and from countries such as Sweden, Portugal, Austria, and the USA. The training was led by Ellert Nijenhuis, the founder of this approach.
Until June 2026, I will also be part of a supervision group of psychotherapists from Poland, again representing different modalities. The group is led by Mateusz Borowiec, a supervisor of the Polish Psychological Association (Polskie Towarzystwo Psychologiczne).
For me, it is essential to reach out to and collaborate with therapists from different backgrounds. I believe this is especially important in psychotherapy, where the complex challenges faced by those seeking support often require an interdisciplinary perspective. Collaboration, rather than competition, best serves the well-being of people who struggle with various forms of suffering.
I also continue my work with Sigurhædir in Selfoss, where I lead a women’s group, individual processes, and mother–child sessions. I am grateful to be part of a wonderful team of women therapists representing approaches such as art therapy, EMDR, ASSYST, group therapy, occupational therapy, family therapy — and, in my case, Dance Movement Psychotherapy.
In a word: plenty of meaningful work ahead!
