With great pride, I’m honored to announce a historic moment for the European Tang Soo Do Federation. On 28th March 2026, Master Ian Wallace, will be holding the first-ever European Tang Soo Do Federation (I.M.A) seminar in Italy, hosted in Rome.

This seminar is especially meaningful, as it is dedicated to celebrating GrandMaster S, Nar, President and Chief Instructor of the European Tang Soo Do Federation (European I.M.A), in honor of his 40 years of teaching Tang Soo Do. His lifelong dedication, leadership, and guidance have shaped generations of instructors and students across Europe.

Master Wallace first brought Tang Soo Do to Malta in 2000, and for over 26 years, Grandmaster S. Nar has continued to support and strengthen Tang Soo Do in Malta through regular seminars and instruction. His commitment to developing strong, traditional martial artists has never stopped.

We are also proud to recognize KSN Valerio Mig Istruttore (2nd Dan), who opened the Fist Club in Rome affiliated to the European Tang Soo Do Federation and under the guidance of Grandmaster S, Nar, This seminar marks a major step forward for Tang Soo Do in Italy and the beginning of a new chapter.

We are deeply honored and greatly looking forward to seeing Dae Kwan Jang Nim Ki Yun Yi and Grandmaster S. Nar this coming weekend.

This occasion marks a special milestone for us in Italy, the first tournament in which I will be bringing my own students to compete. The excitement and pride I feel cannot be expressed in words.

Grandmaster S. Nar’s tournaments have always been a true reflection of the Tang Soo Do spirit , a chance to test one’s skill, discipline, and character, while celebrating unity, respect, and brotherhood among martial artists.

Let us make this a memorable weekend filled with spirit, humility, and strength.

cit”Una delle storie che Bruce Lee era solito raccontare ai nuovi allievi era quella della "tazza da tè vuota":

Un uomo colto fece visita a un maestro Zen per conoscere questa disciplina.
Mentre il maestro parlava, l'uomo colto lo interrompeva spesso per esprimere la propria opinione su questo o quell'argomento.
Alla fine il maestro Zen smise di parlare e cominciò a servire il tè all'uomo colto. Versò il liquido nella tazza fino a riempirla, ma invece di fermarsi, continuò a versare facendo traboccare il tè: "Basta!", disse l'uomo colto: "La tazza è piena, non puoi versare altro tè".
"Come questa tazza, anche tu sei pieno di opinioni.", replicò il maestro Zen:
"Se prima non vuoti la tua tazza, come posso io versarvi il mio tè?".

IMPORTANZA DELLE BUONE MANIERE (Il Galateo)

Il galateo nelle arti marziali è una delle forme più elevate di pratica. Ci connette alla nostra storia, alle origini della nostra arte e alla cultura da cui si proviene. Paesi e culture diverse hanno le proprie usanze e i propri costumi, ed esserne consapevoli ci aiuta a sentirci parte dell'ambiente circostante. Dimostra anche il nostro desiderio di entrare in contatto con gli altri a un livello più profondo.

Questo concetto plasma il modo di vedere tutti gli ambiti della nostra vita. Comprendere il galateo dimostra la consapevolezza di un praticante nei confronti dell'ambiente circostante e delle persone che lo circondano. Attraverso azioni semplici e ponderate, comunichiamo le nostre intenzioni e, in molti casi, entriamo in una comunicazione reciproca e silenziosa.

La Federazione è parte dell’ International Martial Arts Association (IMA) del Dae Gran Maestro Ki Yun Yi , dedicata allo studio e alla pratica del Tang Soo Do — un'arte marziale tradizionale con oltre 2000 anni di storia, che insegna tecniche realistiche ed efficacia di autodifesa.
