Hello all. With the new entrance and exit system coming into force in October getting in and out of the Schengen area will now involve biometric, Face ID and God knows what else requirements kept on file electronically. Together with a charge for a visa. So If you a resident and have not yet applied for the carta di soggiorno that expat Brits can apply for now is the time to do it as it. These changes affect all non eu residents although only UK residents who were here before the Brexit deadline can apply for a CDS. People who come from outside the eu and are not subject to the Withdrawal Agreement need to apply for a permesso di soggiorno.
