The Law of Detachment in Bio-Energetics

🌿 Learning to Let Go in Order to Live Better

In bio-energetics, the body and mind are one: what we hold inside ourselves—emotions, thoughts, fears—inevitably manifests in our body. The law of detachment reminds us that well-being begins when we learn to release what weighs us down.

👉 Detachment does not mean being cold or indifferent, but rather freeing ourselves from the excessive need for control, possession, or approval. It is the choice not to remain trapped in negative emotions, toxic relationships, or patterns that drain our energy.

When we don’t practice detachment, the body stiffens: chronic muscle tension, neck pain, breathing difficulties, and fatigue are the most common signals. On the other hand, by learning to let go, vital energy flows freely again, and we feel lighter, more creative, and more vibrant.

✨ Some simple ways to apply the law of detachment:
• Practice slow, deep breathing to release tension.
• Give yourself moments of silence and inner listening.
• Accept uncertainty as a natural part of life.
• Recognize what cannot be changed and allow it to follow its course.

Ultimately, detachment is an act of love towards oneself: it allows us to live healthier relationships, to cultivate serenity, and to open ourselves with trust to the new.

Biologist or Holistic? Here’s the Answer to the Dilemma!

When we talk about nutrition, most people immediately think of the biologist nutritionist—a professional with a degree in biology, specialized in nutrition, and authorized to prescribe personalized dietary plans for health, weight loss, or the management of medical conditions.
Their work mainly focuses on calculating caloric needs, distributing macronutrients (carbohydrates, proteins, fats), and following recognized scientific guidelines. This is a biological and clinical approach, oriented toward medical and numerical parameters.

The holistic nutritionist—that is, myself—embraces a different and less restrictive vision of the person. It is not only about the “plate” or the “diet,” but about the human being as a whole: body, mind, emotions, and environment. Through my services, nutrition becomes part of an integrated path to wellbeing, where complementary disciplines such as herbal medicine, epigenetics, pediatric nutrition, calisthenics, and mindful cooking also play a role.

The holistic approach begins with one essential question: What truly nourishes a person’s life, beyond food?

Main Differences

Approach:
• The biologist nutritionist focuses on clinical tests, nutritional charts, and dietary protocols.
• The holistic nutritionist evaluates the person as a whole, taking into account personal history, emotions, lifestyle, environment, sleep quality, and stress levels.

Objective:
• For the biologist nutritionist, the goal is to correct or prevent imbalances through diet.
• For the holistic nutritionist, the goal is overall rebalancing of the organism, boosting energy, vitality, and emotional wellbeing beyond simply achieving a healthy weight.

Tools:
• The biologist nutritionist uses official guidelines, charts, and standardized dietary protocols.
• The holistic nutritionist combines nutritional planning with innovative, natural tools such as epigenetic testing, herbal medicine, Ayurveda, macrobiotics, mindful eating education, mind-body strategies, and functional physical activity.

Why Choose a Holistic Nutritionist

Those who choose a holistic path are not only looking for “what to eat,” but for how to live better.
The holistic nutritionist does not simply prescribe, but guides the person through a journey of awareness and transformation:
• Helping to recognize dysfunctional habits and replace them with healthy, sustainable choices.
• Integrating foods, herbs, and natural remedies that support specific organs and systems (e.g. hormones, microbiota, immune system).
• Considering the emotional and psychological dimension, often at the root of many eating disorders.
• Valuing individuality: there is no one-size-fits-all plan, but rather a tailored path, like a custom-made suit.

My Personal Experience

With a degree in Business Administration, I chose to dedicate my second professional life to holistic nutrition. This journey allowed me to combine rigor, method, and organization with a passion for human wellbeing.
Over the years, I have explored disciplines such as epigenetics, herbal medicine, Ayurveda, calisthenics, and pediatric nutrition, building a unique approach that integrates science, nature, and awareness.

What I offer is not a simple diet, but a transformative experience: a journey that teaches you to listen to your body, lighten your mind, and nourish your soul.

The biologist nutritionist and the holistic nutritionist are not in opposition—they represent two different ways of caring for people.
If you are seeking a purely clinical and numerical approach, the biologist nutritionist is the right choice.
But if you feel the need for a path that goes beyond calories, that unites body, mind, and emotions, and that leads you toward authentic and lasting wellbeing, then the holistic nutritionist is what you’re looking for.

Among the programs we offer, there is the
Gut Microbiota Rebalancing

The gut microbiota is the community of billions of microorganisms living in our intestines. It’s considered an organ in its own right, as it regulates vital functions: from digestion to immune response, mood balance, and weight management.

An imbalance (dysbiosis) is linked to various conditions: bloating, constipation, diarrhea, intolerances, skin issues, anxiety, difficulty losing weight, chronic fatigue, recurrent infections, and even autoimmune or neurological disorders.

Program Phases

🔹 1. Initial Assessment – Nutritional, emotional, and digestive history; evaluation of gastrointestinal and systemic symptoms; possible lab or non-invasive microbiota tests.

🔹 2. Gentle Gut Reset – Detox protocol to reduce toxins and pathogens, temporarily limiting inflammatory foods, supported by targeted herbal remedies.

🔹 3. Recolonization – Gradual introduction of tailored probiotics, prebiotic fibers, and beneficial fermented foods.

🔹 4. Gut-Friendly Lifestyle – Personalized diet rich in plant-based fiber and polyphenols, mindful eating, light physical activity, and stress-reduction techniques.

🔹 5. Holistic Support – Adaptogens and nutrients to modulate stress and repair the intestinal lining.

Main Goals
• Eliminate dysbiosis, bloating, and digestive discomfort
• Strengthen immunity
• Improve mood and reduce anxiety
• Support nutrient absorption and healthy weight management

Expected Results
✅ Regular bowel movements and lighter digestion
✅ Flatter stomach and less bloating
✅ Healthier skin
✅ More energy and mental clarity
✅ Greater resistance to infections
✅ Stable mood and overall well-being

VITAMIN C: WHY “ZERO CARBS” CAN MAKE SENSE

Recently, saying that carbohydrates should be limited to absorb vitamin C properly stirred some debate.

Let’s explore why this idea has a solid scientific basis—feel free to take what fits your journey.

1️⃣ Vitamin C (as L-ascorbate) and its oxidized form (dehydro-L-ascorbic acid, DHAA) are absorbed mainly in the small intestine—duodenum, jejunum, and ileum.

2️⃣ Interestingly, vitamin C and glucose share some intestinal absorption pathways. Glucose uses specific transporters—SGLT1 and GLUT2/GLUT5—that are also involved in vitamin C uptake.

3️⃣ When glucose levels are high, it competes with DHAA for these transporter proteins, potentially reducing vitamin C absorption into cells.

4️⃣ Fructose, found naturally in fruit, uses a different transporter (GLUT5), so it doesn’t interfere directly with vitamin C absorption.

5️⃣ But beware: excessive fructose intake can increase oxidative stress, indirectly raising your body’s vitamin C needs.

6️⃣ In a nutshell: a high intake of glucose-rich carbs can inversely affect your vitamin C status, making mindful carb choices important if you want to optimize this vital nutrient.

We want to share this touching story of a cancer survivor:

“I refused chemo after I was told I had less than 2 weeks to live. I was told chemo would add an additional 2 years. I said, "No thank you." I went on the Hippocrates Diet. My cancer cleared within a year. I've been cancer-free since 2012.

I went into the emergency room because I had a large tumor I was unaware of. The tumor was blocking my bladder. After clearing my bladder with a catheter, they did a bunch of tests and told me I needed a hysterectomy and chemo. I told them that they may remove only part of my tumor without touching any of my organs.

The doctors in the hospital told me that I was crazy. They shook their heads and frowned. They called in a psychiatrist to evaluate me. I passed the evaluation. Then they called in another psychiatrist and I passed the second evaluation. I told doctors I would sue if I left the hospital without my organs.

They wanted me to sign forms but I refused to sign anything. I gave them verbal permission to remove only part of my tumor and nothing else.

After I left the hospital I went to Hippocrates Health Institute for two months. There I followed the Hippocrates diet and drank 6 glasses of green juice every day for the two months that I was there.

When I returned to NYC I went to see an oncologist and gynecologist. My cancer was almost cleared. I continued on Hippocrates Diet for the rest of the year. I went to the oncologist again and told I was cleared.

If you have cancer or a history of cancer STOP eating meat, chicken, pork, eggs, milk, cheese, yogurt and all other forms of animal fat/protein!

My current diet:
50% raw fruits
50% raw veggies (roots, tomatoes, bell peppers, and leafy greens)

Nothing from a can, bottle, or box.

The main importance to ridding my cancer was being on 100% raw plant diet”.

You Have a Second Heart – and It Lives in Your Calves

Yes, really. Your body contains a “silent heart” that plays a vital role in your circulation.
It’s called the soleus muscle, and it’s located in your calves.
Its job? To pump blood upward, helping your main heart fight gravity and keep your blood moving efficiently.

🔄 But here’s the key: this second heart only works when you move.

Sitting or standing still for too long slows venous return, which can lead to:
• leg swelling,
• heaviness,
• varicose veins,
• and in more serious cases, deep vein thrombosis.

Conscious movement is the key.

Every hour, take a moment to:
• go for a quick walk,
• lift your heels while seated (heel raises),
• stretch,
• or simply stand up.

These small gestures activate your soleus and support your cardiovascular well-being.
If you struggle with chronic swelling, elevating your legs or wearing compression socks can help –
but nothing beats the power of regular movement.

Soleus & Metabolism: A Fascinating Link

Recent studies suggest that exercises targeting this muscle (like seated heel raises) may:
• help regulate blood sugar,
• improve metabolic efficiency,
• and naturally boost overall vitality.

Your body is a temple. Every part holds wisdom.

Whether you’re walking, stretching, or simply lifting your heels at your desk,
you are nourishing your health at a deep level.

From NutriMente – Holistic Temple, a gentle reminder:

Your body doesn’t need to be pushed… it needs to be heard.
Give space to movement, breath, and circulation.
Because wellness is built through small, daily choices.
