Winfocus is the world leader scientific network committed to develop Point-of-care Ultrasound practice, research, education, technology, and networking, addressing the needs of patients, institutions, services, and communities living in out-of-hospital and in-hospital critical scenarios. Winfocus Malaysia network is composed by a few dozens of members, friends and students creating a WIN COMMUNITY, which is going to found a formal WIN SECTION, and later the WINFOCUS MALAYSIA society by the next 2 years.

6 February 2026 (Friday) marked a significant milestone as SUCCES proudly signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Academy of Family Physicians of Malaysia (AFPM), formalising a long-term collaboration in Training of Trainers (ToT) for Family Medicine and General Practice.

This strategic partnership aims to strengthen capacity building in ultrasound education for primary care. The first intake of 20 trainees is scheduled to commence in April 2026.
AFPM was represented by Dr Isriyanti Mohd Rafae, Past President of AFPM, and Dr Aishah Mohd Zain, Treasurer of AFPM.

SUCCES was represented by Dr Azma Haryaty Ahmad, President of SUCCES; Dr Shaliza Shamsuddin, Secretary of SUCCES; together with Dr Lee Kee Choon, Training Director and Dr Adi Osman from the Expert POCUS Committee.

Both SUCCES and AFPM look forward to a successful, fruitful and sustainable collaboration, strengthening trainer development and enhancing the quality of care for patients across Malaysia.
