Raised in California, Kat is a Hatha yoga teacher that has travelled and taught around the globe since 2013.With a degree in Nursing, she's been able to combine her passion of yoga and knowledge of the human body to share movement and breath.

Good morning Yogis

Same times for yoga on Wednesdays
6:45 am for Meditation and Pranayama followed by 7:00 - 8:00 yoga asanas
or
18:15 for Pranayama and Meditation followed by 18:30 yoga asanas

We will have our FINAL yoga class together on 31st of March. I will be starting a new job position at a new company so the next 3-6 months will be dedicated to learning the new tricks of the trade! I wont be available to teach yoga again until I learn the new routine and see how my new schedule will be. With saying this, it is always and has been a pleasure to guide you in your practices and I hope you all have learned a little bit more about how incredible you truly are through the divine play of yoga. As well as how the body functions as a whole and move as a whole to avoid risks of injuries with the idea of creating mobility in the major joints and stability in the supporting joints. Summer Yoga on the Talfer may still be again in the near future but I can't confirm as of yet.

I hope to see everyone for the last three classes of this month! Let me know if you have any questions

This yoga found me at 25, trying to emotionally put myself together after an abusive, alcohol and anti-depressant induced on and off relationship. I followed a crowd walking up stairs at The Camp in Costa Mesa not knowing I was going inside a yoga studio. I practiced everyday in the heat and sweat, not knowing what to call it but felt something stir me in a different direction than what I knew....

What we break down in our beginning classes to let you guys understand joint movement as well as muscular support.
Chaturanga is one of our basic transitional movement so it’s repeated at-least 5 times in our practice. Repeated and executed well builds strength and endurance. repeated but done mindlessly increases risk of wearing out your ligaments and thus increases long term injury.
Know what is protracting and retracting and when to use it and how.
Move intelligently, move more freely.

Hey everyone, this week starts our Back to Basics Yoga on
Wednesday
7 am and 18:30 am

There will be 15 minutes meditation before each class which you are welcome to join! If you aren’t joining for meditation please prepare your zoom for microphone to be off before entering the meeting as to not disturb the meditation. We will class start on time! I’m happy to see everyone again!

Good morning and Happy New Year everyone!
I've gotten off Social Media so I apologize for not keeping in contact with everyone but know that you are all missed and I think of each of you on the daily. Last year was a hectic year for everyone, including myself and it's an understatement when we say we've fallen out of our own routines. I'm not sure how long this quarantine will last and when I would be able to teach inside a proper studio setting again but until then, I appreciate everyone's patience and interest on keeping up with their yoga. I will start the yoga classes again starting January 13th Wednesday at 7 am and 18:30. Both classes will be BACK TO BASICS with a SPECIAL introduction to Breathing and Meditation 15 minutes before the actual class begins! This will be my gift to you as yoga asanas is incomplete without breathing and meditation in stillness. I invite everyone to join and relearn or learn the basics of yoga practice again so there is less room for injury and we can move more fluidly without pain. ALL CLASSES WILL BE DONATION BASED. I look forward to seeing everyone again! Please send me a personal confirmation of the times you would like to join

Ich bin mir nicht sicher, wie lange diese Quarantäne dauern wird oder wann ich wieder in einem richtigen Studio unterrichten kann, aber bis dahin schätze ich die Geduld und das Interesse aller, mit ihrem Yoga Schritt zu halten. Ich werde am Mittwoch, dem 13. Januar, um 7.00 Uhr und 18.30 Uhr wieder mit Yoga-Kursen beginnen. Beide Klassen kehren 15 Minuten vor Kursbeginn mit einer BESONDEREN Einführung in Atmung und Meditation zu den Grundlagen zurück! Dies wird mein Geschenk an Sie sein, denn Yoga-Asanas sind nichts ohne Schweigen und Meditation in der Stille. L'anno scorso è stato un anno frenetico per tutti, me compreso, ed è un eufemismo quando diciamo che abbiamo rinunciato alla nostra routine. Non sono sicuro di quanto durerà questa quarantena e quando sarei in grado di insegnare di nuovo in uno studio adeguato, ma fino ad allora, apprezzo la pazienza e l'interesse di tutti nel tenere il passo con il loro yoga. Inizierò di nuovo le lezioni di yoga a partire dal 13 gennaio mercoledì alle 7:00 e alle 18:30. Entrambe le lezioni torneranno alle basi con un'introduzione SPECIALE alla respirazione e alla meditazione 15 minuti prima dell'inizio della lezione! Questo sarà il mio regalo per te perché le asana dello yoga non sono nulla senza il respiro e la meditazione nella quiete. Invito tutti a riunirsi e imparare di nuovo o riapprendere le basi della pratica yoga in modo che ci sia meno spazio per gli infortuni e possiamo muoverci più agevolmente senza dolore. The unchanging is obscured by the mind’s fascination with the changing. The mind becomes absorbed in what is right or wrong, good or bad, trapped in a limited experience of the pairs of opposites. Inquiring minds are often confused as to how love can turn to hate, how that which brought happiness can become suffering. Every worry, fear or state of agitation, every disease, every injustice, every experience that one considers to be wrong – wrong within themselves, the wrong one sees in others or in the world – is due to limited perception. Unless the knowledge of the unchanging is cultivated, one remains caught up in changing circumstances and experiences.

Meditation offers an opportunity for the mind to be released from its changing viewpoint in order to directly perceive that there is an unchanging, underlying awareness, which is never bound in the changing thoughts and feelings.

I don’t ever think about doing progression photos just because I knew yoga changes everyday and sometimes you feel the change and sometimes not. But I was scanning through some old traveling photos and you can see how much I actually started with this pose three years ago. Now I can almost grab my back heel! 🤯🤯🤯

The earth, mountains, rivers, plants, and fresh air that we breathe is our responsibility to maintain free and kept as is for future generations to play, climb, yoga, trekk, run, and explore. Never underestimate the power of backbends.
In this rigid system we live in, we forget how much we can actually breathe.
Breathing is our survival, so backbends are our tools to remind us that we have many spaces and ways to expand that breath, expand the capacity of the heart to grow and strengthening the spine to connect all three back to the mind.
Backbends are challenging for a reason, don’t let it intimidate you.
Breathe, trust, and move slow.
