How to stay cool during summer?!

Using Qi Gong II is an effective way to release tension and heat from our body. When you blend deep breathing while practicing it’s even better.

On your inhale, relax a bit in order to let the air into your lungs. As you exhale, stretch a little deeper to expand your muscles, tendons, and ligaments. As you do so, you’ll feel tension and heat leaving your body.

I was jamming today. Putting practice into use. Washing the fruit, halving them, pitting them, squashing them with my hands and staying in the moment.

When we practice and not turning the knowledge into every day life activity we only do part of our job. The truth is everything is Qi, there shall be no separation.

The beauty of it all that I have my grannies old enamel glazed pot here in Tuscany. That’s essential to make a good jam! The other most important ingredient is love. The result is delicious!

In terms of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) apricot is known for its ability to tonify blood and Yin. According to some sources it also helps to clear heat, regenerate body fluids, lubricate the intestines, and resolve toxins.

In general it enters the Lung, Stomach, and Large Intestine. The flavor of apricot is sweet and sour, and it is considered to be neutral to slightly cool in temperature.

For dehydration and thirst during the summer eat 5-10 fresh apricots. For cough make a tea from one teaspoon of ground apricot kernels, adding a little honey. The inner kernel of the apricot seed can help to ventilate the lungs, descend rebellious Qi, lubricate the intestines, relieve constipation, and alleviate asthma. — at Thriving in Tuscany.
