A WINNER HISTORY
The three “gold years” of the Mondial, as a race machine, ranging from 1949 to 1951, although in later years and especially in 1957 (which was his swan song) there have been affirmations of prestige. With the FB brand, which means Boselli Brothers, the House was founded in 1936 by Giuseppe Boselli with the collaboration of the brothers Luigi, Carlo and Ettore. At the end of World War II the activities of the FB has moved to Milan and soon after Giuseppe Boselli Instructs a 125 racing great Bolognese technical Alfonso Drusiani of project a four-stroke engine, contrary to the trend of the moment so it is preferred in this capacity the two-stroke engines. In 1949 with 125 Mondial’s pilot Nello Pagani won the Dutch Grand Prix and the Grand Prix of Switzerland and Gianni Leoni won the Grand Prix of Nations: are the three World Championship races and while Nello Pagani won the individual title, Mondial wins like brand. The Mondial DOHC in its first version (which debuted in 1948) won the world championship will not only in 1949 but also the following year with Bruno Ruffo and in 1951 with Carlo Ubbiali. In the 125cc world championship: Provini won the Tourist Trophy, the Grand Prix of the Netherlands and the Belgian Grand Prix. At the end of the year Provini is the world champion of the 125 class, and Sandford is campion of the world-class 250. Also in World Championship Mondial will win the title of the brand in the 125 and 250. At the end of 1957, just before you make the decision not to race more had developed a prototype of a new 125 with the distribution to four camshafts in head and desmodromic valve control. In 2014, Boselli and Galli started to lay the foundation of the project, starting to draw the first designs that would become the first motorcycle. Through that first year and all 2015 those sketches became reality and now they’re called Hipster 125 and Hipster 250. Hipster, for FB Mondial, represents its own comeback to the top, closed to the “hipster generation”, that born as Mondial in the 40’s and is coming back fashionable again in the last years, which always represented a “way of being”, a “lifestyle” that wants to go over institutional standards of its times anticipating the future ones. FB Mondial won’t stop here with Hipster but it has already planned one short-middle terms program which provides, between 2017 and 2023, the birth of 3 more different bikes. They will be developed with different engines, right to offer one complete range of bikes as the band had in the 60’s and how one brand has to evolve naturally in the market.
