VISUAL TRAINING
By studying the procedures of A. Gesell, one of the greatest specialists in child development, we become aware that vision is the driver of adaptation, a milestone in all development. An efficient visual system therefore allows the individual to operate at his highest level of potential. Visual training is a method for learning to use the body, eyes, vision and intelligence in the most appropriate way, in order to succeed better in all aspects of life.
Below is a quote from the book “SEE BEYOND” by Dr.S.Prezzi/Dr.L. Baldassari .
Beginning of the perception of three-dimensional space.
It correlates with the visual and auditory channels of the brain and postural motor control, therefore supported by visual vestibular and proprioceptive information to be able to move in space.
The perception of space is based on constant and precise spatial reference information, such as right-left”, behind and above and below and near-far, large-small, inside-out.
As information, skills and learning increase, the body map, balance and awareness of time also strengthen. Awareness of the body map, balance and time also promotes the cognition of slow-fast, time and distance function and movement-action-achievement.
Visual training is a precious tool for improving the quality of life and obtaining better results in various activities, both work and recreational. Vision is one of the most important senses for humans and investing in improving it can lead to significant benefits.

Microscope inspection procedures are very important!
To ensure accurate and reliable results and good asepsis it is essential to follow a series of microscopic control procedures.

Here are some tips to ensure correct asepsis when using the microscope:

1. Make sure the microscope and all its components are clean before use. Use a soft, clean cloth to clean the objective lenses and microscope stage.

2. Wash and disinfect your hands before handling the specimen or microscope. Use disposable gloves if necessary.

3. Avoid touching the objective lenses with your fingers, so as to avoid contamination.

4. Keep the specimen in a sterile environment during handling. Use a clean, sterilized glass slide to place the specimen on the microscope stage.

5. Avoid blowing on the sample or objective lenses to avoid the presence of saliva or other contamination.

6. Before you start observing the specimen under the microscope, adjust the light concentration and focus correctly to obtain clear and sharp images.

By following these simple control procedures and maintaining proper asepsis, you will be able to obtain accurate and reliable results when observing under a microscope.

Today we are particularly happy to have participated (albeit in a small part) in Martina's victory, who earned first place in the competition which took place on Sunday.
It is truly fascinating to dedicate a large part of our work to perception and in particular to visual perception, and to explain how it is possible that a series of signals and data flowing from the eyes to the brain can amplify to the point of producing an enormous quantity of information which, enriched from experiences already experienced, constitute everything that belongs to visual perception.
Most people who participate in sporting activities like to win or at least improve their performance. Athletes at all levels of competition spend a significant amount of money on sports, including equipment and clothing. However, many failed performances are not caused by inadequate equipment or clothing, but by the movement being performed at the wrong time or place. There has been considerable debate regarding the role of vision in sport. Vision is the signal that directs the muscles of the body to respond. Legendary football coach Blanton Collier is credited with developing the concept that "the eyes guide the body." Vision provides the athlete with information about where and when to move. Superior size, strength, speed, and agility cannot fully compensate for inefficient processing of visual information. For example, if the eyes don't tell the hitter where the ball is, he or she won't hit it, no matter how perfect the swing. There is little debate as to whether vision is a critical factor in sports performance; however, there is mixed evidence that successful athletes possess superior visual function that allows them to see and perform better than beginners in sport.

The basic indications could be as follows.
Verification with slit lamp without fluorescein and with fluorescein.
The integrity and transparency of the cornea.
Stability of corneal parameters.
Observation of the eyelids and conjunctiva.
Measurement of the tear meniscus.
Analysis of the tear film.

👁 Hello Guys! As promised yesterday, we are back to our contactology study with the data collected from our candidate's corneas.
As can already be seen from the diagnosis of the Ophthalmologist who requested our support, we are faced with full-blown bilateral keratoconus. Now, having reworked the data collected, we will create RGP contact lenses. Stay tuned! We will update you!
