As we wheel our last patient of the day to the car, our amazing nurse, who’s pregnant 🤰, captures the spirit of “one more day — one more set of Saturday surgeries” as she lets the wheelchair roll ahead 🚶‍♀️➡️. No real patient in the chair—this was all for humor, teamwork, and a reminder to take care of our growing team 🎉👩‍⚕️💪.

Why we still use a wheelchair? Even after an uneventful procedure, our patients may not be ready to walk safely to their car 🚗💨. Pain 💥, fatigue 😴, dizziness 🌪️, and the need to protect our new results mean we prioritize comfort and safety first 🛡️. Our goal is a smooth, secure recovery—with a little bit of weekend sparkle ✨🗓️.

2026 is the new 2016. 🌊💉

A look back at a year of growth. A decade ago, I was 3 years out of training and finding my rhythm between the OR and the world outside.

From updating my first post-residency driver’s license (and finally growing the beard) to long days fixing skulls and ears. It was a year of hand emergencies, teaching residents, and finding miles of clarity on the bike. 🚴‍♂️

Between the jazz of New Orleans, the art of Toledo and NYC, and a Disney Christmas—2016 was a vibe I’ll never forget. 🇪🇸✨
