You know what almost everyone notices after their first session?
How tired they feel. How deeply exhausted.
And it surprises them.
Here's why it happens.
When the nervous system has been running hot for a long time, the body runs on stress hormones — adrenaline, cortisol.
They keep us moving, alert, productive. It can feel like energy.
But it's borrowed energy. The body is essentially running on a back-up generator.
When the system starts to settle and feel safer, the body finally gets permission to rest.
And sometimes what surfaces is the tiredness that was already there underneath — the fatigue the stress was masking.
It's not a step backwards. It's the body saying, okay, I can finally feel how tired I actually am.
That tiredness is the beginning of repair. Not the end of progress.
So if you're someone who has been pushing through for years and your body suddenly feels heavy when you slow down — please don't read that as failure.
Read it as your body, finally trusting it's safe to rest.
