Happy Birthday 🎂 4 years
What I’ve learned over the years of practice is that devotion isn’t forcing.
Discipline isn’t pushing.
It’s not about overriding the body when it’s tired, or proving something to ourselves.
Real practice is relational.
It’s the quiet conversation we have with ourselves each time we step onto the mat.
Listening. Responding. Choosing presence over perfection.
Some days that looks like strength.
Other days it looks like rest.
Both are acts of devotion.
Showing up isn’t about doing more.
It’s about staying connected—to the breath, the body, and the version of ourselves that’s asking to be met with honesty.
That’s why I keep returning to the mat.
Not to become better.
But to remember the relationship I’m already in—with myself.
This is the space I try to hold when I teach.
A practice that meets you where you are,
invites honesty over performance,
and reminds you that showing up can be soft.
If you feel called to explore that kind of practice,
you’re always welcome on the mat with me 🖤
