☯️ The Yin and Yang of Communication ☯️

🪷 At our recent ESF board meeting, alongside electing our officers, we faced an important decision: how we want to communicate as an organisation.

🪷 Within the ESF, communication takes many forms — from creating thoughtful, non-commercial content for Facebook to maintaining Shiatsu Resources Worldwide (https://shiatsuresources.net/).

🪷 We were presented with two possible paths:
• A Yang strategy — dynamic, frequent posts driven by algorithms and the pressure to “stay visible.”
• Or a Yin approach — less frequent, yet rooted in truthfulness, presence, and care.

🪷 We chose the Yin path.

🪷 By entrusting Emily Heimerle with this role, the ESF embraces a communication ethos grounded in authenticity, clarity, and genuine connection. Rather than employing a professional agency, we consciously choose to be a holding space where members can grow, learn new skills, and discover hidden talents through service.

🪷 Shiatsu is fundamentally about connection — presence, attentiveness, embodied awareness. In a world where AI increasingly mediates human exchange, we deliberately safeguard and cultivate the human dimension of our work.

We stand for communication — and for a healing path — that honors presence, authenticity, and the living essence of Shiatsu.

🎤 IL DISCORSO CHE HA LETTO IL NOSTRO PRESIDENTE IN OCCASIONE DEL CONVEGNO NAZIONALE C.O.S. 🎤

Contro la guerra, per la Vita.
In un tempo in cui il fragore delle armi sembra sovrastare la voce della coscienza, noi Operatori Shiatsu sentiamo il dovere di esprimere un messaggio chiaro: NO alla guerra, SÌ alla pace.
Lo shiatsu nasce dall’ascolto, dal contatto consapevole, dal rispetto profondo della vita. Ogni trattamento che offriamo è un gesto di cura, un incontro che genera equilibrio, una risposta non violenta alle tensioni del corpo e dello spirito.
La guerra, invece, spezza l’armonia. Distrugge corpi, spegne anime, inaridisce i cuori. È l’antitesi di ciò che promuoviamo ogni giorno con il nostro lavoro.
Come C.O.S., ci uniamo a chi rifiuta ogni forma di violenza, di occupazione, di oppressione. Sosteniamo il dialogo tra i popoli, il disarmo, il rispetto dei diritti umani e della dignità di ogni essere vivente.
Invitiamo tutti, nel nostro piccolo ma potente gesto quotidiano, a coltivare la pace. Con un tocco, una parola, un respiro.
La pace non è solo un sogno. È una pratica. E noi scegliamo di praticarla, ogni giorno.
