🫵The making of a workshop/class: do you know what goes behind the scenes?🫵
I can only speak for myself, so this is not a rule set in stone 🪨.
1) Everything starts with an idea, it could be something I have done or experienced myself that I think has potential to be appreciated by others.
2) This evolves in how I can offer it: could it be a series of yoga sessions, might it be better to take half a day to explore or even a weekend?
3) Once this has been established, it's the case of finding a time that fits with my schedule, in the past I was in full time employment and education, managing a small business on the side. Now I am a full time PGCE student who is finding 24 hours are not enough to squeeze in everything. It's very challenging to wear as many hats as you will know, so if eventually I find a date and you can't make it, I am truly sorry because I really try my best so please refrain from getting in touch if you already know you are not available in those dates to ask if I am hosting the same event again. I am not a huge yoga studio with other teachers working for me, I am on my own, so chances are I won't be able to unfortunately. Don't make me feel bad for this🙊
4) I then have to find the perfect venue, thinking about parking, accessibility, facilities, ect.. this has a cost, of course, and like anything else in this current times prices have gone up. Please know that I try to make my offerings available to everyone, and sometimes the costs involved in running a class/ a workshop or a retreat are more than you can imagine!
5) Now it's time to put everything together and send it out to the universe, hoping you connect with my vision and want to share it with me. I do a little dance every time someone signs up for one of my offerings, because it means the 🌍 me. It means you trust me to guide you in the experience and I am thrilled to embark on it with you. So it goes without saying that when I have to cancel an event because not enough people have signed up it's a very sad time for me😔
I wanted to share this with you because I like to be transparent and as open as I can about what I do and why I do things.
Thanks for your trust and love🤲🩷
