🚌 Anche quest’anno L’Archivio Bracco partecipa a “𝘈 𝘴𝘤𝘶𝘰𝘭𝘢 𝘥’𝘐𝘮𝘱𝘳𝘦𝘴𝘢. 𝘓’𝘐𝘵𝘢𝘭𝘪𝘢 𝘯𝘦𝘪 𝘯𝘰𝘴𝘵𝘳𝘪 𝘮𝘶𝘴𝘦𝘪 𝘦 𝘢𝘳𝘤𝘩𝘪𝘷𝘪 𝘥’𝘪𝘮𝘱𝘳𝘦𝘴𝘢”. Un progetto di Museimpresa, LIUC - Università Cattaneo e l’Archivio del cinema industriale e della comunicazione d’impresa.

🚌 Questo percorso - pensato come PCTO - 𝗵𝗮 𝗹’𝗼𝗯𝗶𝗲𝘁𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗼 𝗱𝗶 𝗱𝗶𝗳𝗳𝗼𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝘂𝗻𝗮 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗼𝘀𝗰𝗲𝗻𝘇𝗮 𝗱𝗶 𝗯𝗮𝘀𝗲 𝗱𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗮 𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗿𝗶𝗮 𝗱𝗲𝗹𝗹’𝗶𝗺𝗽𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗮 𝗶𝘁𝗮𝗹𝗶𝗮𝗻𝗮 𝗲 𝗱𝗲𝗶 𝘀𝘂𝗼𝗶 𝘃𝗮𝗹𝗼𝗿𝗶, 𝗳𝗮𝗿 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗼𝘀𝗰𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝗶 𝗺𝘂𝘀𝗲𝗶 𝗲 𝗴𝗹𝗶 𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗵𝗶𝘃𝗶 𝗱’𝗶𝗺𝗽𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗮 attraverso oggetti, documenti, invenzioni e storie che testimoniano l’intraprendenza e l’evoluzione del Paese. E consente agli studenti di acquisire le competenze trasversali per orientarsi nel proprio percorso di studi e nella scelta della professione futura.

🎒𝗟’𝗔𝗿𝗰𝗵𝗶𝘃𝗶𝗼 𝗕𝗿𝗮𝗰𝗰𝗼 𝗽𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗲𝗰𝗶𝗽𝗮 𝗮𝗹 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗲𝘁𝘁𝗼 𝗦𝗰𝘂𝗼𝗹𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝗻 𝘁𝗿𝗲 𝗰𝗹𝗮𝘀𝘀𝗶. La 3°A del Liceo delle Scienze Applicate e la 4°B Informatica dell’IIS Giuseppe Luigi Lagrange e la 3°A Grafica del Liceo Artistico Caravaggio di Milano.

🎒Gli studenti sono stati accolti nel nuovo e rinnovato spazio dedicato alla Biblioteca aziendale “Diana Bracco” e visitato l’area espositiva dell’Archivio Storico. È stata un’occasione speciale per fornire una visione dell' 𝗶𝗺𝗽𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗮 𝗻𝗼𝗻 𝘀𝗼𝗹𝗼 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗲 𝗹𝘂𝗼𝗴𝗼 𝗱𝗶 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗱𝘂𝘇𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗲, 𝗺𝗮 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗲 𝗰𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗱𝗲 𝗱𝗶 𝗺𝗲𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗶𝗮 𝗲 𝗰𝘂𝗹𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗮.

🎮 𝗜𝗹 𝘁𝗲𝗺𝗮 𝗱𝗲𝗹 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗷𝗲𝗰𝘁 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸 𝗱𝗶 𝗾𝘂𝗲𝘀𝘁’𝗮𝗻𝗻𝗼 è 𝗶𝗹 𝗴𝗶𝗼𝗰𝗼. Gli studenti che partecipano al Progetto Scuole si trasformeranno in 𝗴𝗮𝗺𝗲 𝗱𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗴𝗻𝗲𝗿. Progetteranno e realizzeranno un gioco (videogioco, di carte, da tavolo, di ruolo…) che aiuti ad 𝗶𝗹𝗹𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝘂𝗻𝗮 𝘀𝗰𝗶𝗲𝗻𝘇𝗮 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗮 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗲 𝗹𝗮 𝗱𝗶𝗮𝗴𝗻𝗼𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗮 𝗽𝗲𝗿 𝗶𝗺𝗺𝗮𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗶 attraverso l’analisi e lo studio del patrimonio conservato in Archivio.

🚌Once again this year, the Bracco Archive takes part in “𝘈 𝘴𝘤𝘶𝘰𝘭𝘢 𝘥’𝘐𝘮𝘱𝘳𝘦𝘴𝘢. 𝘓’𝘐𝘵𝘢𝘭𝘪𝘢 𝘯𝘦𝘪 𝘯𝘰𝘴𝘵𝘳𝘪 𝘮𝘶𝘴𝘦𝘪 𝘦 𝘢𝘳𝘤𝘩𝘪𝘷𝘪 𝘥’𝘪𝘮𝘱𝘳𝘦𝘴𝘢”. A project by Museimpresa, LIUC Heritage Hub, and the Archive of Industrial Cinema and Corporate Communication.

🚌This program—designed as a PCTO (Pathways for Transversal Skills and Orientation)— 𝗮𝗶𝗺𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝘃𝗶𝗱𝗲 𝗮 𝗯𝗮𝘀𝗶𝗰 𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗵𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘆 𝗼𝗳 𝗜𝘁𝗮𝗹𝗶𝗮𝗻 𝗯𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗶𝘁𝘀 𝘃𝗮𝗹𝘂𝗲𝘀, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗼 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗼𝗱𝘂𝗰𝗲 𝘀𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝗰𝗼𝗿𝗽𝗼𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗺𝘂𝘀𝗲𝘂𝗺𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗵𝗶𝘃𝗲𝘀 through objects, documents, inventions, and stories that bear witness to the country’s resourcefulness and evolution. It also enables students to acquire the cross-disciplinary skills needed to navigate their academic path and choose their future profession.

🎒𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗕𝗿𝗮𝗰𝗰𝗼 𝗔𝗿𝗰𝗵𝗶𝘃𝗲𝘀 𝗶𝘀 𝗶𝗻𝘃𝗼𝗹𝘃𝗲𝗱 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗦𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗹𝘀 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗷𝗲𝗰𝘁 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝘁𝗵𝗿𝗲𝗲 𝗰𝗹𝗮𝘀𝘀𝗲𝘀: Class 3A from the Liceo delle Scienze Applicate, Class 4B (Computer Science) from the IIS Giuseppe Luigi Lagrange, and Class 3A (Graphic Design) from the Liceo Artistico Caravaggio in Milan.

🎒The students were welcomed to the new and renovated space dedicated to the “Diana Bracco” Corporate Library and toured the exhibition area of the Historical Archive. It was a special opportunity to 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝘃𝗶𝗱𝗲 𝗮 𝗴𝗹𝗶𝗺𝗽𝘀𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗮𝗻𝘆 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝗼𝗻𝗹𝘆 𝗮𝘀 𝗮 𝗽𝗹𝗮𝗰𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗱𝘂𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻, 𝗯𝘂𝘁 𝗮𝘀 𝗮 𝗴𝘂𝗮𝗿𝗱𝗶𝗮𝗻 𝗼𝗳 𝗺𝗲𝗺𝗼𝗿𝘆 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗰𝘂𝗹𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲.

🎮 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗺𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝘆𝗲𝗮𝗿’𝘀 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗷𝗲𝗰𝘁 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸 𝗶𝘀 𝗮 𝗴𝗮𝗺𝗲. Students participating in the School Project will take on the role of game designers. They will design and create a game (video game, card game, board game, role-playing game, etc.) that help 𝗶𝗹𝗹𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗮 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗲𝘅 𝗳𝗶𝗲𝗹𝗱 𝗼𝗳 𝘀𝗰𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗹𝗶𝗸𝗲 𝗱𝗶𝗮𝗴𝗻𝗼𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗰 𝗶𝗺𝗮𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗴 through the analysis and study of the collection preserved in the Archive.

👩🏽‍🔬 𝗟𝗮 𝗦𝘃𝗶𝘇𝘇𝗲𝗿𝗮 𝗵𝗮 𝘀𝗲𝗺𝗽𝗿𝗲 𝗮𝘃𝘂𝘁𝗼 𝘂𝗻’𝗶𝗺𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗮𝗻𝘇𝗮 𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗴𝗶𝗰𝗮 𝗽𝗲𝗿 𝗶𝗹 𝗚𝗿𝘂𝗽𝗽𝗼 𝗕𝗿𝗮𝗰𝗰𝗼. Sin dai primi anni del dopoguerra, quando – nel mezzo di un durissimo periodo di ricostruzione – rappresentò una vera e propria ancora di salvezza per far ripartire lo sviluppo dell’azienda. Lo racconta 𝗙𝘂𝗹𝘃𝗶𝗼 𝗕𝗿𝗮𝗰𝗰𝗼 nel suo libro di memorie parlando dei primi contatti con 𝗹𝗮 𝗖𝗶𝗹𝗮𝗴 𝗱𝗶 𝗦𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗳𝗳𝘂𝘀𝗮.

🧪 “Là c’è la gente giusta”, scriveva il giovane imprenditore, “molto preparata in farmaceutica e in chimica: era indiscutibilmente un vantaggio avere già in partenza queste persone per fare ricerca”.

🧪𝗙𝘂𝗹𝘃𝗶𝗼 𝗕𝗿𝗮𝗰𝗰𝗼 𝗻𝗲𝗹 𝟭𝟵𝟰𝟲, 𝗰𝗼𝗻 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝘂𝗶𝘇𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝘃𝗶𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗮, 𝗱𝗲𝗰𝗶𝘀𝗲 𝗱𝗶 𝗶𝗻𝘃𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗿𝗲 𝗮 𝗦𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗳𝗳𝘂𝘀𝗮 𝗲 𝗳𝗼𝗻𝗱ò 𝗹𝗮 𝗖𝗶𝗹𝗮𝗴 𝗜𝘁𝗮𝗹𝗶𝗮𝗻𝗮 𝗦𝗽𝗔. 𝗗𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗮 𝗖𝗶𝗹𝗮𝗴 𝗲𝗿𝗮 𝗮𝗱 𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗺𝗽𝗶𝗼 𝗶𝗹 𝗗𝗶𝗮𝘇𝗶𝗹, un sulfamidico che venne messo in commercio nel 1948 e andò subito benissimo.

🧪Svizzero fu anche l’uomo di scienza che contribuì grandemente alle fortune dell’azienda, il 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗳𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗼𝗿 𝗘𝗿𝗻𝘀𝘁 𝗙𝗲𝗹𝗱𝗲𝗿: assunto il 1° ottobre 1950, fu lui a creare la ricerca in Bracco e a fare scoperte rivoluzionarie nell’ambito della farmaceutica e dei mezzi di contrasto.

👩🏽‍🔬Più tardi, nel 1987, 𝗕𝗿𝗮𝗰𝗰𝗼 𝘀𝗶 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗼𝗹𝗶𝗱𝗮 𝗶𝗻 𝗦𝘃𝗶𝘇𝘇𝗲𝗿𝗮 𝗲 𝗮𝗰𝗾𝘂𝗶𝘀𝗶𝘀𝗰𝗲 𝗹𝗮 𝗦𝗼𝗰𝗶𝗲𝘁à 𝗦𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗲𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗮 𝗦.𝗔. 𝗱𝗶 𝗠𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗿𝗶𝘀𝗶𝗼.

🧪In anni più recenti, nel 2000, 𝗗𝗶𝗮𝗻𝗮 𝗕𝗿𝗮𝗰𝗰𝗼, 𝗣𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗲 𝗲 𝗖𝗘𝗢 𝗱𝗲𝗹 𝗚𝗿𝘂𝗽𝗽𝗼, 𝗽𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗻𝘁ò 𝗹𝗮 𝗻𝘂𝗼𝘃𝗮 𝘀𝗲𝗱𝗲 𝗱𝗶 𝗕𝗿𝗮𝗰𝗰𝗼 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗵 𝗽𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗼 𝗣𝗹𝗮𝗻-𝗹𝗲𝘀-𝗢𝘂𝗮𝘁𝗲𝘀, in un’area destinata all’alta tecnologia.

👩🏽‍🔬Nel 𝗻𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗿𝗲 𝗱𝗲𝗹 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟰, a distanza di oltre vent’anni, si è scritta un’ulteriore, importante pagina di questa lunga storia: 𝗹’𝗶𝗻𝗮𝘂𝗴𝘂𝗿𝗮𝘇𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝗱𝗶 𝗛𝗲𝘅𝗮𝗴𝗼𝗻, il nuovo building multifunzionale di Bracco Suisse.

🧪Hexagon sarà il fulcro dei nostri piani di investimento e innovazione, con l’obiettivo di fornire ai pazienti strumenti sempre più avanzati, riducendo i tempi di diagnosi e migliorando l’efficacia dei sistemi sanitari, ha affermato 𝗙𝘂𝗹𝘃𝗶𝗼 𝗥𝗲𝗻𝗼𝗹𝗱𝗶 𝗕𝗿𝗮𝗰𝗰𝗼, Vicepresidente e CEO di Bracco Imaging.

👩🏽‍🔬 𝗦𝘄𝗶𝘁𝘇𝗲𝗿𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗵𝗮𝘀 𝗮𝗹𝘄𝗮𝘆𝘀 𝗯𝗲𝗲𝗻 𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗴𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘆 𝗶𝗺𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗮𝗻𝘁 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗕𝗿𝗮𝗰𝗰𝗼 𝗚𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗽. Since the early post-war years, when – in the midst of a very difficult period of reconstruction – it represented a real lifeline for restarting the company’s development. 𝗙𝘂𝗹𝘃𝗶𝗼 𝗕𝗿𝗮𝗰𝗰𝗼 recounts this in his memoir, talking about his first contacts with 𝗖𝗶𝗹𝗮𝗴 𝗶𝗻 𝗦𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗳𝗳𝗵𝗮𝘂𝘀𝗲𝗻.

🧪 “The right people are there,” wrote the young entrepreneur, “highly trained in pharmaceuticals and chemistry: it was undoubtedly an advantage to have these people available for research right from the start.”

🧪 𝗙𝘂𝗹𝘃𝗶𝗼 𝗕𝗿𝗮𝗰𝗰𝗼, 𝗶𝗻 𝟭𝟵𝟰𝟲, with visionary intuition, he decided to 𝗶𝗻𝘃𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗶𝗻 𝗦𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗳𝗳𝗵𝗮𝘂𝘀𝗲𝗻 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗳𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗱 𝗖𝗶𝗹𝗮𝗴 𝗜𝘁𝗮𝗹𝗶𝗮𝗻𝗮 𝗦𝗽𝗔. One of Cilag’s products was Diazil, a sulfonamide that was launched in 1948 and was immediately very successful.

🧪Another Swiss national who contributed greatly to the company’s success was 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗳𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗼𝗿 𝗘𝗿𝗻𝘀𝘁 𝗙𝗲𝗹𝗱𝗲𝗿, a man of science. Hired on October 1, 1950, he established research at Bracco and made revolutionary discoveries in the field of pharmaceuticals and contrast media.

👩🏽‍🔬Later, in 1987, Bracco consolidated its position in Switzerland and acquired Società Sintetica S.A. in Mendrisio.

👩🏽‍🔬In the 2000s, 𝗗𝗶𝗮𝗻𝗮 𝗕𝗿𝗮𝗰𝗰𝗼, 𝗣𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗖𝗘𝗢 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗚𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗽, 𝗽𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗻𝗲𝘄 𝗕𝗿𝗮𝗰𝗰𝗼 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗵 𝗵𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗾𝘂𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗶𝗻 𝗣𝗹𝗮𝗻-𝗹𝗲𝘀-𝗢𝘂𝗮𝘁𝗲𝘀, in an area dedicated to high technology.

🗞️ 𝗟𝗮 𝗰𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗮𝗯𝗼𝗿𝗮𝘇𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝗳𝗿𝗮 𝗕𝗿𝗮𝗰𝗰𝗼 𝗲 𝗠𝗲𝗿𝗰𝗸 è 𝘂𝗻𝗮 𝗹𝘂𝗻𝗴𝗮 𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗿𝗶𝗮 𝗱𝘂𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗮 𝗽𝗶ù 𝗱𝗶 𝟳𝟬 𝗮𝗻𝗻𝗶. Questo numero di bracco.com, house organ aziendale del marzo 2000, presenta l’accordo raggiunto dalle due aziende farmaceutiche il 13 dicembre del 1999.

🗞️ Fu una grande operazione finanziaria che permise a Bracco di acquisire il 50% dell’attività di diagnostica per immagini di Merck KGaA, ottenendo così la proprietà del proprio capitale al 100%. 𝗗𝗶𝗮𝗻𝗮 𝗕𝗿𝗮𝗰𝗰𝗼, 𝗣𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗲 𝗲 𝗖𝗘𝗢 𝗱𝗲𝗹 𝗚𝗿𝘂𝗽𝗽𝗼 affermò: “La nostra collaborazione iniziò il 1° giugno del 1927 e venne interrotta durante la Guerra e poi ripresa negli anni successivi con l’ingresso della chimica dello iodio, base della radiologia. La finalità di questo accordo sarà accrescere la competitività di Bracco a livello mondiale nel settore della diagnostica per immagini.”

🚂 Agli inizi degli anni Venti la famiglia Bracco si trasferì a Trieste, dove nel 1921 Elio Bracco divenne sottoprefetto. Durante questo incarico venne chiamato (grazie alla conoscenza del tedesco e del russo) a far parte della Commissione Interalleata incaricata di ridefinire i confini tra gli Stati dopo la fine del primo conflitto mondiale.

🚂 “A Katowice, sede della Commissione, mio padre Elio” - racconta Fulvio Bracco nel suo libro di memorie - “fece l’incontro decisivo per la sua vita e per quella della nostra famiglia. Nell’attività della Commissione erano compresi i rapporti con le banche. Proprio in una banca, la Dresdner Bank, nacque l’amicizia che per mio padre contò moltissimo, quella con il Direttore Bernard Pfotenhauer che successivamente divenne il Direttore Generale della Merck di Darmstadt.”

💊 “La Merck” - racconta Fulvio Bracco nel suo libro di memorie – “era già a quei tempi era una grande società farmaceutica”. Bernard Pfotenhauer propose ad Elio Bracco di prendere la rappresentanza della Merck farmaceutici a Milano. “Nella proposta mio padre vide una nuova strada da percorrere, un’opportunità da cogliere e accettò. Così lascio l’Amministrazione pubblica e diventò imprenditore. Si trasferì da Trieste a Milano e il 1° giugno 1927 venne costituita la Società Italiana Prodotti E. Merck.”

🗞️ It was a major financial transaction that enabled Bracco to acquire 50% of Merck KGaA's diagnostic imaging business, thereby obtaining 100% ownership of its capital. 𝗗𝗶𝗮𝗻𝗮 𝗕𝗿𝗮𝗰𝗰𝗼, 𝗣𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗖𝗘𝗢 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗚𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗽, stated: “Our collaboration began on June 1, 1927, was interrupted during the war, and then resumed in the following years with the introduction of iodine chemistry, the basis of radiology. The purpose of this agreement will be to increase Bracco's global competitiveness in the diagnostic imaging sector.”

🚂 In the early 1920s, the Bracco family moved to Trieste, where 𝗘𝗹𝗶𝗼 𝗕𝗿𝗮𝗰𝗰𝗼 𝗯𝗲𝗰𝗮𝗺𝗲 𝘀𝘂𝗯-𝗽𝗿𝗲𝗳𝗲𝗰𝘁 𝗶𝗻 𝟭𝟵𝟮𝟭. During his tenure, he was called upon (thanks to his knowledge of German and Russian) to join the Inter-Allied Commission tasked with redefining the borders between states after the end of the First World War.

🚂 “In Katowice, the headquarters of the Commission,” Fulvio Bracco recounts in his memoir, "my father Elio had a meeting that would prove decisive for his life and that of our family. The Commission's activities included relations with banks. It was in a bank, the Dresdner Bank, that a friendship was born that meant a great deal to my father, with the director 𝗕𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗮𝗿𝗱 𝗣𝗳𝗼𝘁𝗲𝗻𝗵𝗮𝘂𝗲𝗿, who later became the general manager of Merck in Darmstadt."

🛶Il legame tra la famiglia e lo sport è profondo e radicato. A iniziare dal Cav. 𝗙𝘂𝗹𝘃𝗶𝗼 𝗕𝗿𝗮𝗰𝗰𝗼, che nel corso della sua vita ebbe tante passioni sportive: dalla vela, essendo grande amante del mare, al canottaggio, che praticò sulle rive del Ticino negli anni universitari di Pavia. Fino al calcio, che seguiva da acceso tifoso dell’Inter.

🚴🏻In anni recenti, a questo impegno è stata affiancata un’iniziativa che lancia un messaggio culturale importante: il concorso nazionale “𝗗𝗼𝗻𝗻𝗮 𝗦𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁, 𝗹’𝗔𝘁𝗹𝗲𝘁𝗮 𝗽𝗶ù 𝗯𝗿𝗮𝘃𝗮 𝗮 𝘀𝗰𝘂𝗼𝗹𝗮”, un’iniziativa dedicata alle ragazze – atlete e paratlete – dai 14 ai 18 anni che pur praticando sport federali ad alti livelli hanno un ottimo rendimento scolastico.

✍🏼La scrittura a mano, pratica sempre più infrequente ma dalla grande importanza, costituisce un elemento di espressione e preservazione della storia della lingua e della cultura italiana. Inoltre, rappresenta uno strumento per lo sviluppo delle capacità cognitive e creative.

✍🏼Originario di Neresine, 𝗘𝗹𝗶𝗼, 𝗻𝗼𝗻𝗻𝗼 𝗱𝗶 𝗗𝗶𝗮𝗻𝗮 𝗕𝗿𝗮𝗰𝗰𝗼, fondatore nel 1927 dell’azienda di famiglia, fu un fervente irredentista che si batté per affermare l’italianità dell’Istria, allora sotto il dominio dell’impero austro-ungarico. Proprio in ragione di questo suo patriottismo, in una terribile notte alla vigilia dell’entrata dell’Italia in Guerra nel 1915, 𝘃𝗲𝗻𝗻𝗲 𝗮𝗿𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗼 𝗲 𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗼 𝗻𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗲 𝗽𝗿𝗶𝗴𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗶 𝗮𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗮𝗰𝗵𝗲.

✍🏼𝗧𝗿𝗮 𝗶𝗹 𝟭𝟵𝟭𝟱 𝗲 𝗶𝗹 𝟭𝟵𝟭𝟲 𝗘𝗹𝗶𝗼 𝗕𝗿𝗮𝗰𝗰𝗼 𝘀𝗰𝗿𝗶𝘀𝘀𝗲 𝘂𝗻 𝗱𝗶𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗼, le memorie dalle carceri sono conservate all’interno dell’Archivio Storico.

✍🏼Il diario - dal titolo “Memorie” - aveva una redazione giornaliera, inizialmente Elio Bracco lo scrisse su taccuini e fogli sparsi e successivamente lo fece rilegare in tre quadernetti per un totale di circa 𝗺𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗲 𝗽𝗮𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗺𝗮𝗻𝗼𝘀𝗰𝗿𝗶𝘁𝘁𝗲.

✍🏼Elio aveva trentuno anni quando scrisse il diario. La destinataria e interlocutrice delle sue memorie è 𝗹𝗮 𝗺𝗼𝗴𝗹𝗶𝗲 𝗡𝗶𝗻𝗮 Bracco Salata. Nello scritto è riportato il racconto delle giornate in carcere, i luoghi, le persone incontrate, i pensieri, le paure e i sogni di un uomo che di lì a poco, sarebbe diventato un grande imprenditore.

✍🏼Handwriting, an increasingly rare but highly important practice, is a form of expression and preservation of the history of the Italian language and culture. It is also a tool for developing cognitive and creative skills.

✍🏼Originally from Neresine, 𝗘𝗹𝗶𝗼, 𝗗𝗶𝗮𝗻𝗮 𝗕𝗿𝗮𝗰𝗰𝗼'𝘀 𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗳𝗮𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿 and founder of the family company in 1927, was a fervent irredentist who fought to affirm the Italian identity of Istria, at that time under the rule of the Austro-Hungarian Empire. Due to his patriotism, on a terrible night on the eve of Italy's entry into the war 𝗶𝗻 𝟭𝟵𝟭𝟱, 𝗵𝗲 𝘄𝗮𝘀 𝗮𝗿𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗮𝗸𝗲𝗻 𝘁𝗼 𝗔𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗮𝗻 𝗽𝗿𝗶𝘀𝗼𝗻𝘀.

✍🏼𝗕𝗲𝘁𝘄𝗲𝗲𝗻 𝟭𝟵𝟭𝟱 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝟭𝟵𝟭𝟲, 𝗘𝗹𝗶𝗼 𝗕𝗿𝗮𝗰𝗰𝗼 𝘄𝗿𝗼𝘁𝗲 𝗮 𝗱𝗶𝗮𝗿𝘆, and his prison memoirs are preserved in the Historical Archive.

✍🏼The diary, entitled “Memorie” (Memoirs), was written daily. Elio Bracco initially wrote it in notebooks and on loose sheets of paper, and later had it bound into three small volumes totalling about a 𝘁𝗵𝗼𝘂𝘀𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗱𝘄𝗿𝗶𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗻 𝗽𝗮𝗴𝗲𝘀.

✍🏼Elio was thirty-one years old when he wrote the diary. The addressee and interlocutor of his memoirs was 𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝘄𝗶𝗳𝗲 𝗡𝗶𝗻𝗮 Bracco Salata. The diary describes his days in prison, the places he visited, the people he met, and the thoughts, fears and dreams of a man who would soon become a great entrepreneur.

🎿🏔️ La 𝗚𝗶𝗼𝗿𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗮 𝗠𝗼𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗮𝗹𝗲 𝗱𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗮 𝗻𝗲𝘃𝗲 si festeggia ogni anno la terza domenica di gennaio ed è un evento che celebra la bellezza e la meraviglia dell’inverno.
All’interno del 𝗡𝗼𝘁𝗶𝘇𝗶𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗼 𝗕𝗿𝗮𝗰𝗰𝗼, il primo house organ pubblicato dall’azienda, sono presenti i racconti di alcune gite invernali organizzate dal CRAL – Il Circolo Ricreativo Aziendale dei Lavoratori – in località sciistiche.

Una 𝗳𝗼𝘁𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗳𝗶𝗮 𝗱𝗲𝗹 𝟮𝟳 𝗴𝗲𝗻𝗻𝗮𝗶𝗼 𝟭𝟵𝟲𝟯 𝗶𝗺𝗺𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗮𝗹𝗮 𝘂𝗻 𝗴𝗿𝘂𝗽𝗽𝗼 𝗱𝗶 𝗱𝗶𝗽𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶 𝗕𝗿𝗮𝗰𝗰𝗼 𝗱𝘂𝗿𝗮𝗻𝘁𝗲 𝗹𝗮 𝗴𝗶𝘁𝗮 𝘀𝗰𝗶𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗮 𝗮 𝗖𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗮. 🎿🏔️ 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗹𝗱 𝗦𝗻𝗼𝘄 𝗗𝗮𝘆 is celebrated every year on the third Sunday in January and is an event that celebrates the beauty and wonder of winter.
The 𝗡𝗼𝘁𝗶𝘇𝗶𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗼 𝗕𝗿𝗮𝗰𝗰𝗼, the company's first house organ, includes stories of winter trips organised by CRAL (the company's recreational club for employees) to ski destinations.

A 𝗽𝗵𝗼𝘁𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗽𝗵 𝘁𝗮𝗸𝗲𝗻 𝗼𝗻 𝟮𝟳 𝗝𝗮𝗻𝘂𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝟭𝟵𝟲𝟯 𝗰𝗮𝗽𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲𝘀 𝗮 𝗴𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗽 𝗼𝗳 𝗕𝗿𝗮𝗰𝗰𝗼 𝗲𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗼𝘆𝗲𝗲𝘀 𝗱𝘂𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮 𝘀𝗸𝗶𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗽 𝘁𝗼 𝗖𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗮. The story of this fun-filled day can be found in Notiziario Bracco n. 5, January-April 1963.
