Le vedute zenitali del drone raccontano una campagna che non è casuale, ma costruita. Filari di vite, ulivi disposti con precisione: dall’alto si legge chiaramente la mano dell’uomo che organizza, delimita, rende produttivo il paesaggio senza cancellarne l’identità. Le strade bianche tracciano confini netti, arginano il verde e guidano lo sguardo, come una mappa viva. In queste immagini Tenuta San Vito in Fior di Selva esprime tutta la sua forza: quella di un territorio lavorato, pensato, riconoscibile. Un equilibrio evidente tra natura e progetto umano. Ed è in questo equilibrio che vi auguriamo di trascorrere il nuovo anno.

🕍 La Chiesa di San Vito a Camaioni sorge sul colle all’incrocio tra la vigna dell’Orefice e il prato verde oltre la casa padronale. Al di là del valore religioso che rappresenta per la comunità della frazione, questo, per noi, è soprattutto un posto del cuore, identitario, il punto dove iniziava o terminava la ricognizione dei campi o una piacevole passeggiata nella Tenuta.
🪦Un edificio rurale di memoria comunitaria sulla cui facciata c’è una lapide consunta dal tempo dedicata ai caduti della Prima Guerra Mondiale. Sotto, un Cristo stilizzato, fissa la funziona sociale del luogo, ricordandoci che la nostra storia di viticoltori è indissolubilmente legata a quella di un intero territorio, e che le strade, quando si incrociano, si chiedono rispetto reciproco.

🕍 The Church of San Vito in Camaioni stands on a hill at the intersection between the Orefice vineyard and the green meadow beyond the manor house. Beyond its religious significance for the community of the hamlet, for us it is above all a place close to our hearts, a symbol of identity, the point where we began or ended our reconnaissance of the fields or a pleasant walk on the estate.
🪦A rural building steeped in community history, its façade bears a weathered plaque dedicated to those who fell in the First World War. Below, a stylized Christ affirms the social function of the place, reminding us that our history as winegrowers is inextricably linked to that of an entire territory, and that when paths cross, mutual respect is required.

Essere viticoltori significa anche essere consapevoli che il territorio è tanto di chi lo cura quanto di chi lo abita. Come gli ungulati, che anno dopo anno provocano non pochi danni alle nostre colture, un’invasione che costa alle aziende il 30% della propria produzione. Stiamo recintando le vigne sperando che la forza e la quantità dei cinghiali, coinquilini naturali di tutte le campagne, non vengano ad “arare” anche qui, come hanno fatto nell’uliveta.

Being winemakers also means being aware that the land belongs as much to those who care for it as to those who inhabit it. Like the wild ungulates, which year after year cause considerable damage to our crops—an invasion that costs farms 30% of their production. We are fencing the vineyards, hoping that the strength and number of wild boars, natural co-inhabitants of all rural areas, won’t come to “plough through” here as well, as they did in the olive grove.

Per il nostro territorio la ceramica è identità, è materia viva, è memoria e storia. Come si scrive in questo articolo, è “Un’arte semplice ma raffinata” che si serve “dei soli elementi della natura: della terra con i minerali di cui è composta al suo stato crudo, dell’acqua che la ammorbidisce per prepararsi al tocco della mano che la modella, dell’aria che la avvolge e la asciuga piano piano, e del fuoco che la indurisce nella forma desiderata”. La ceramica, come il vino, nasce dalla terra e dal lavoro sapiente delle nostre mani. Per questo, il 19 dicembre, Montelupo Fiorentino celebrerà entrambe queste sue preziose essenze. E ci saremo anche noi.

For our region, ceramics represent identity, living matter, memory, and history. As stated in this article, it is “a simple but refined art” that uses “only the elements of nature: the earth with the minerals it contains in its raw state, the water that softens it in preparation for the touch of the hand that shapes it, the air that envelops it and dries it slowly, and the fire that hardens it into the desired shape.” Ceramics, like wine, come from the earth and the skilled work of our hands. For this reason, on December 19, Montelupo Fiorentino will celebrate both of these precious essences.

Nel cuore della nostra azienda agricola, ogni oliva raccolta a mano trova nuova vita nel Frantoio di San Vito.
Qui avviene la frangitura a freddo, un processo che preserva tutta la purezza e l’aroma del frutto, trasformando le migliori varietà fiorentine – Frantoio, Moraiolo, Leccino e Pendolino – in un olio extravergine dal carattere inconfondibile.

L’olio appena estratto viene custodito in contenitori d’acciaio, mantenendo intatte le sue preziose proprietà organolettiche fino al momento dell’imbottigliamento.
Il risultato? Un olio extravergine dal gusto delicato, fruttato, con un elegante retrogusto di mandorla, caratterizzato da acidità e perossidi a livelli minimi: un vero simbolo di eccellenza toscana.

In the heart of our farm, every hand-picked olive finds new life in the San Vito Oil Mill.
Cold crushing takes place here, a process that preserves all the purity and aroma of the fruit, transforming the best Florentine varieties –Frantoio, Moraiolo, Leccino and Pendolino– into an extra virgin olive oil with an unmistakable character.

The freshly extracted oil is stored in steel containers, maintaining its valuable organoleptic properties intact until bottling.
The result? An extra virgin oil with a delicate, fruity taste, with an elegant almond aftertaste, characterized by acidity and peroxides at minimal levels: a true symbol of Tuscan excellence.

In the heart of Tenuta San Vito, the manor house dominates the organic olive groves that surround it. Novembre è il mese in cui si rinforza la vigna e si prepara il terreno, arreggiandolo con il passaggio dei trattori lungo tutta la stagione.
Come dice l’enologo Andrea Lupi, questo è un tempo silenzioso ma fondamentale.

Tra le vigne addormentate, l’inverno sussurra piano. 🌾
Ogni filare custodisce il ricordo del sole passato e la promessa del vino che verrà.

A Tenuta San Vito la natura si ritira, ma continua a parlare:
lo fa nei colori che sfumano, nella terra che respira,
nei tralci che disegnano l’attesa.

È un paesaggio che invita al silenzio,
al passo lento,

La condividiamo da sempre con Marco Ferretti - La Querce Azienda Agricola – Chianti Colli Fiorentini, un compagno di viaggio nelle manifestazioni più importanti dedicate al vino. Abbiamo molte cose in comune, a cominciare da quell'idea di viticoltura basata sul rispetto per il territorio e sulla professionalità di chi vi lavora. È così che nascono gli album dei ricordi più belli.
