📅 GESEA Certification Sessions – 2026 Calendar

The GESEA Training Center of Naples – officially accredited by ESGE – offers monthly Level 1 (Bachelor in Endoscopy) and quarterly Level 2 (MIGS Certificate) certification sessions.
Our program is open to all medical graduates interested in gynecological endoscopy, even if not yet specialists.

🧑‍⚕️ Level 1 is designed for specialists or residents in Gynaecology and Obstetrics with basic skills in laparoscopy and hysteroscopy.
🧑‍⚕️ Level 2 is reserved for those who have already obtained the GESEA Level 1 (Bachelor) certification.

We’re reaching the final milestone of the year!
Tomorrow, 12 December 2025, the last GESEA Certification Session of the year will take place at the GESEA Training Center in Naples.

With profound sadness, I extend my heartfelt condolences for the passing of a truly extraordinary woman.
Her clarity of vision, her strength, and her quiet grace shaped an entire generation of professionals, leaving a legacy that will continue to guide and inspire.

I was fortunate to meet her early in my career, and the trust she placed in me became a turning point in my professional journey. Having my name appear in the Karl Storz book was an honour made possible thanks to her support—an achievement I will always carry with gratitude.

Her loss is deeply felt. We are not only saying goodbye to a mentor and a visionary leader, but to a woman whose humanity and dedication transformed the world of endoscopy. She never sought recognition; she simply worked to elevate others.

I will miss Sybill Storz greatly, but I remain proud that her legacy will continue to enlighten and inspire the future.

Il Training Center accreditato GESEA di Napoli è situato presso l’Azienda Ospedaliera Universitaria “Federico II” e afferisce al Dipartimento di Sanità Pubblica dell’Ateneo.

E’ stato il primo centro accreditato in Italia ed è attualmente uno dei 3 centri nazionali abilitati al rilascio di certificazioni GESEA di livello 1 e livello 2.

La struttura, continuamente aggiornata dal punto di vista tecnologico e dello strumentario, è dotata di 5 postazioni dedicate al training endoscopico ed allo svolgimento delle sessioni di certificazione sia degli specializzandi sia di eventuali candidati esterni che ne facessero richiesta.

Diretto dal Prof. Attilio Di Spiezio Sardo, il centro si avvale della collaborazione di tutors locali esperti nel settore dell’endoscopia ginecologica e coordinati dall’Head Mentor Dott. Francesco Paolo Improda.

L’attività del centro e quelle dei tutors sono sottoposte a severi controlli di qualità periodici volti a garantire una didattica di qualità ed un corretto e preciso svolgimento delle sedute di certificazione.

Attualmente ogni anno vengono svolte con cadenza mensili sessioni di certificazione GESEA di 1 livello e a cadenza trimestrale quelle di 2 livello, adottando tutte le strategie necessarie a garantire un adeguato distanziamento durante ogni fase dell’attività.
