To the Leaders of Nations,
the Keepers of Power,
the Stewards of Humanity's Fate.
Subject: A Call to Conscience — The Universe Does Not Belong to You. It Belongs to God.
Honorable Ladies and Gentlemen,
In a time when science reaches the stars and technology bends matter to its will, I write to you not as a subject, nor as a rival, but as a brother in our shared humanity. This is a voice not of a particular religion, but of something deeper — the voice of conscience.
The universe, with its silent galaxies and the invisible rhythm of time, is not your creation. The Earth beneath our feet, with its mountains, rivers, beauty, and pain, is not your possession. The people you govern, the children yet to be born, the lives intertwined like invisible threads — none of these belong to you.
They belong to God.
Not a God shaped to justify power or war,
but the Eternal One who holds all things in balance —
who breathes life into every human heart,
and who silently weeps whenever a missile darkens the sky
or a mother loses her child to a decision made in a golden hall.
You hold power: laws, armies, resources. But let me ask you — is that power a means or an end? Is it for service or for domination? For building bridges or digging trenches? For guiding or for owning?
All that you have — land, weapons, words — has been entrusted to you.
Not to control, but to protect.
Not to divide, but to unite.
Not to destroy, but to sow hope.
I am not asking for miracles. I am asking for memory.
Remember that you are human, and that every human is just passing through.
Remember that true power lies not in force, but in justice.
Not in possession, but in compassion.
Not in command, but in service.
And above all, remember this:
One day, each of you — like every soul — will stand before Adonai.
And when that day comes,
what kind of spirit will you hope to meet?
A compassionate and merciful one?
Or a judging, punitive one?
The answer lies in how you use the power given to you now.
Be humble. Be just.
Be caretakers of the Earth — not its owners.
Be guardians of peace — not merchants of fear.
Because when time erases your titles
and the winds of history wipe your names from the palaces of this world,
only one question will remain:
“What did you do, when you had the chance to choose peace?”
