Conference organising might not be the usual job for a dietitian but I’m so glad I got to help bring all these great people together!

It has been a while since I’ve put my face on here, but I have had some new followers and some big life changes recently so I thought it was time!

👉🏼For the new people here, hi! I’m Chloe, a dietitian from Melbourne Australia. I graduated from Monash Uni in 2019 and have been an Accredited Practicing Dietitian ever since!

👉🏼After an amazing 2 years working as a food industry dietitian at Yakult Australia, I have recently started a role in the Monash University FODMAP team! I am using my dietitian skills in the digital marketing area, as well as the admin side of things too.

I’m hoping to try and post more now that I’m settling back into life, so thanks for following along!

Made using the Lo-Fo Pantry plain flour and Grounded Pleasures cinnamon spice drinking chocolate 🤤 these little cakes (recipe by ) were so easy to make and look so damn CUTE! One mini Bundt is a low FODMAP serve so you can have the dessert without the discomfort 🤩

For my last vitamin/mineral post for a while, here’s the down low on Iodine!
Iodine is used in the production in thyroid hormones. Probably more importantly, iodine is crucial for pregnant mothers for the development of the foetus. Iodine contributed to both brain and neurological development of a foetus in utero and in infancy.
It is mostly found in fish and dairy products, and most table salt is also fortified with it.

Calcium is probably the best known mineral, with its role in bone health well understood 🦴 Once we reach around 30 years old we reach ‘peak bone mass’ and then thereafter it can slowly decline. This occurs more rapidly for women at menopause also. Ensuring we consume enough calcium to keep bone mass as high as possible is crucial for osteoporosis and fracture prevention (especially from falls as we age).
Calcium is also used in our body signaling (nerves and hormones) making it crucial for our muscular and heart health,
