*KITGUM GENERAL HOSPITAL WELCOMES NEW ART CLINIC BLOCK*
Today 30 July 2024, Kitgum General Hospital held the official opening of its new ART Clinic Block, the ceremony was held at kitgum General Hospital premises. Among the celebrated guests invited for the event was Okello Richard Rambo, a well-known philanthropist, a humanitarian leader, and an international IT expert. The event, which started at 9:00 a.m., was also attended by the Commissioner for HIV/AIDS in the Ministry Health of Uganda who attended on delegation.
In an interview with this reporter, Rambo reiterated the important role ART Clinic plays in helping those affected by HIV/AIDS. However, he advised young people to avoid risky behaviours that can lead to HIV infection, and he encouraged those already living with the virus to use the clinic's services, follow treatment schedule, and listen to doctors' guidelines.
Rambo's presence at the event showed his dedication to public health and his willingness to partner with every stakeholder to improve the lives of people in the Kitgum municipality.
The new ART Clinic Block will be a key place for providing care and support for all the districts surrounding Kitgum.
