Precision medicine is transforming healthcare by replacing the traditional “one-size-fits-all” approach with treatments tailored to the individual patient. Advances in genomic screening, targeted therapies, and personalized diagnostics are opening new possibilities in disease prevention, early intervention, and therapy selection.
The summit will explore how precision medicine can improve patient outcomes while addressing critical challenges such as clinical implementation, regulatory frameworks, ethical considerations, and health-system sustainability.

Experts will discuss key themes including:
Personalized diagnostics and genomics
Precision oncology and targeted therapies
Early detection and risk monitoring

Nel corso del XXVII Congresso Nazionale AIOM, tenutosi il 7 novembre 2025, il Prof. Paolo Marchetti, Direttore Scientifico dell’IDI-IRCCS, ha ricevuto il Premio “Angelo Di Leo” 2025, riconoscimento che celebra l’impegno, la dedizione e il contributo alla ricerca oncologica in Italia.

Il premio, istituito in memoria di Angelo Di Leo, oncologo di straordinaria competenza e umanità, viene assegnato a figure di spicco che si sono distinte per il costante impegno nella formazione delle nuove generazioni di medici e ricercatori.

“È per me un grande onore ricevere il Premio ‘Angelo Di Leo’ 2025 durante il Congresso Nazionale AIOM.

Questo riconoscimento, dedicato alla memoria di un collega che ha rappresentato un modello di rigore scientifico e di attenzione verso i giovani oncologi, assume per me un significato profondo.
